I choose to lead a vegan lifestyle in my day to day, but I purposefully make exceptions when I travel, so that I can respectfully experience the delicacies and authentic cuisines of the local culture. I had a picnic by the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris, France. Here I sampled fresh, locally baked croissants, pain au chocolat, baguette, brie, hummus, kalamata olive tapenade, chocolate and coffee flavored eclairs, and fresh blackberries.
