Do you ever think about the first photograph ever taken? How incredible... to have the ability to capture a moment and keep it as your own. Ansel Adams says we don't take a photograph, we make it. Personally, I feel the opposite. Taking a photograph is my dramatic attempt to capture a moment that evokes a feeling like this. Perhaps, I took an ordinary moment and made it into something extraordinary. "The sun never knew how great it was until it hit the side of a building." Louis Kahn In my mind there hides a handful of memories frozen in time. These are my most treasured and favorite memories. To others, they may not seem worthy. To me, they are everything. One of these memories is one that took place on a random Sunday. I sat in the back of my dads truck on the way to somewhere, anywhere, at sometime, in someplace. All the homes were angled just the right way and the sun sat at just the right place in the sky. As we drove down the street, the sun met every window with an explosion of light. Paradise was illuminated within every home and every plane of glass. It only lasted a few seconds, yet, that moment was seared into my mind now going on almost two decades strong. We can find inspiration and beauty everywhere.
