As well as finding a duplicate of something high end for a much cheaper cost as well without spending hundreds of dollars on a new clothing piece from a top designer. Cons about this process of manufacturing is the working conditions. It was proven that many of these people work in a sweatshop for hours on end with unsanitary conditions. Along with these conditions is that workers only get paid little to nothing for all their hard work on putting together a garment. You may be wondering where these sweatshops are located. These conditions are mostly seen in developing countries. Brands target these countries to manufacture their goods because they live in poverty and pay workers almost little to nothing. In the year 2013, a factory in Bangladesh called Rana Plaza, which was being used to produce clothing, collapsed which took hundreds of lives and left thousands of workers injured.
As years went on many people have decided to reduce their spending on companies who use fast fashion. It is commonly seen that in today's society people are seen buying second-hand clothing, which is a great way to reuse and reduce fabric. As well as reducing the amount of labor used to create a fast fashion garment.
