“I hate to say it, Yakko, but for a Saturd’y morning type, you Warners are awfully irresponsible... I don’t blame Egon, though,” Stantz sighed. “Not one bit... Actually, it’s kind of my fault... Yeah.”

With one sheepish pointer finger, he began to scratch at his cheek. “I told him I was dying to get inside your kind’s head, and-- well, you know Egon. Takes after Spock, in the literalism department.”

“Yakko--” Ray started to bring a hand up to his face but stopped; for the sake of inter-rational diplomacy. “Are you telling me that Wakko’s here, too? In the firehouse? Right now?!”

Was he hearing things? Maybe he had stick in his ears right now... No. But if only.

“What did the little spud ever do to you?! He laughed at your pants that one time, okay, and he pretty much ruined any shot you (thought) you had with the nurse, but other than that... Slimer’s been an angel!”

"Look out Ray!!" Peter ducked.

The redhead’s mind scrambled but he didn’t hesitate, diving behind the sofa with minimal groaning. It wasn’t exactly easy for a man his age to be crawling around on his hands and knees and yet he’d too frequently found himself on all fours – whether it was crawling around, hunting and pecking for Venkman’s “missing” Lego pieces or… Well, he had no clue as to why he was on the ground now. Just giving credit where credit is due, a lot Stantz’s unnecessary aches/pains could probably be linked directly to his spunky cohort’s reckless shenanigans.

“Wha-“ Ray cleared his throat, collecting himself more mentally than psychically. “What is it, Pete?”

“Don’t tell me, let me guess… You FORGED it? Or-or it’s not really an autograph at all, is it? Yeahhh. I bet it’s just a glossy excuse to slap me with another cream pie… Go on, Yakko, you can tell ol’ Ray… It’s not like I have the luxury of being able to hide a GIANT battle ax or anvil behind the small of my back… Some of us are more grounded than that; more integrous.” For an optimist, Stantz could be very pessimistic. Especially when it came to the word of the Warner species – Whatever that may be, he couldn’t tell – Not for a million bucks and a demon-free, all-expenses paid trip to those little latitudes. Warners didn’t read so much as one stinking blip on the PKE metre.

“Besides, Yakko, what do I need an autograph for? I’ve got the real Dopey Dog at home!”
