Thank you, The Prom!

hey remember that time there was a funny, original, beautiful, heartfelt modern musical about a teenage lesbian couple that had a happy ending and encouraged acceptance and love? and remember that time it closed in less than a year despite people always complaining in the lack of lgbt representation on broadway?
remember that. do not forget about the prom the way you conveniently forgot about so many other wlw stories. do yourself and everyone else a favor and go catch the prom in its final week, show them that originality and lgbt stories are NOT a waste of time and they deserve to be told.
i'm angry that Broadway shows with important messages like Waitress, Kinky Boots, The Prom, The Band's Visit, etc. are closing/have closed but deeply problematic musicals (not gonna name names. but you know which ones) are still playing. a perfect representation of how life isn't fair or ideal
Common sense may tell you that the ending will be sad, and now’s the time to break and run away. But what’s the use of wond'ring if the ending will be sad?

important PSA about when your car is smoking
like literally smoking from the engine
white and you smell pancakes? it’s the coolant. panic and pull over, but you’ll live
a slight blue tinge? it’s the oil. panic and pull over, but you’ll live
grey, looks like fire smoke? gasoline; the most combustable and dangerous. pull over and leave the vehicle, pray.
sharing because i didn’t know this when my car started smoking white yesterday and i was so afraid for my life.
Reblogging because a dear friend of my Moms with mechanic experience told me the same thing when I got my license.
Happy Tony night to the best musical nominees!!!!
I don’t know who this kid is, but I love and support him
The Tonys: Everyone is really disappointed with the commercialism of Broadway right now. Who can we give these Tonys to?
The Band’s Visit:
i love a queen
HELP I CANT BREATHE
Ari’el Stachel’s amazing speech after making Broadway history as the first Asian to win the Tony Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work on “The Band’s Visit”
How the Tony Awards went, basically
10 for The Band’s Visit
Two for Carousel, you go Carousel!
One for Spongebob
And none for Mean Girls, bye
Reminder to all you theater kids/Broadway fandom
The Tony’s are tomorrow. I know we’re all very excited and we all want our faves to win. But, that does not mean that we can trash other shows and actors. I really don’t want a repeat of the post 2017 Tony’s to happen again. If your fave doesn’t win, don’t trash the winner. That’s rude and honestly the worst. You don’t need to make memes or long af rant posts about why the winners didn’t deserve the win. You don’t need to fight with other people who wanted someone else to win. You don’t need to fight with other people period. We all love Broadway. We shouldn’t fight and cause discourse over who won and who didn’t win. Now this doesn’t mean that you aren’t allowed to be upset because your fave didn’t win. You are allowed to be sad or upset that you’re fave didn’t win, but don’t trash on other people/shows who did win. That just shows you you really are on the inside.
Remember even if they don’t win they will still have “Tony nominated” in front of their name for the rest of their life. It’s an honor to even be nominated for a Tony. Don’t be so salty you cause 3 months worth of discourse.
