He finished off his tea while Lucio spoke. Most of his face was a mask of calm - but his brow was furrowed, his gaze dropped back down to his empty cup, and he was biting the inside of his lower lip. Hanzo could feel his cheeks warming with a faint pink, flustered by the other’s words.
What could he say? Nothing was coming to mind, in English or Japanese, that could convey how he felt hearing this. It gave him direction, comfort, instead of a flippant-sounding demand for Hanzo to ‘forgive himself’ on his own without support.
“…Thank you,” Hanzo repeated, softer than before, his face still slightly flushed. He removed his reading glasses, setting them down beside the tablet before glancing up once more at Lucio. “Truly. I, I am not eloquent enough to express how much that means to me.”
Hanzo's reaction was not what Lúcio had expected. Then again, he didn't know how he thought the other would react. Truly, though, it was refreshing in its own strange way to see the archer so flustered by his words.
As the elder spoke, Lúcio quietly sipped his tea, earthy hues focused on the surface of the table. Perhaps, he, too, was slightly embarrassed at how serious his previous ‘ speech ’ had been. People seemed to forget he could still be shy && embarrassed despite his carefree && excited attitude.
He looked up when Hanzo finished && spoke soon after, gaze focused on the man in front of him again.
“ Really ? I think you're pretty fluent though. ”
Aside from that, Lúcio also found Hanzo pretty but that was for another day entirely. Perhaps not even that. He wouldn't be surprised of he kept such thoughts to himself.
“ But, uh... I don't know how you feel about your situation but I guess what I'm tryin' to say is that I'm always here to listen to any problems you may have. ”
