“The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence.”
cursedxempath:
“Sophia?!…-” she would’ve squealed or made some sort of annoying high pitched sound to really suggest how excited she was but instead she moved in for a quick hug. “You’re here in Mystic Falls?…Should I be asking why?…-Yeah sorry i’ve been all over the place, I get kinda busy but i’m just so happy you’re here.”
“In the flesh!” Sophia laughed, slightly more high pitched and excited than the average person would find necessary. “I’m obviously here to visit my bestie for a while before I head off to Hawaii. I’ve missed you! How’ve you been? How’s life? You look incredible by the way.”
supcrnaturally:
eden looked at the girl, exhausted by her display of energy and positivity already. they rolled their eyes, not even sparing her their pessimism as they’d exhausted all of that trying to converse with others all evening. this was not fun, and was in fact boring. “not one bit, thanks.”
With that was the smile wiped right off her face. She’d lived in NYC she knew all about rude people and generally unhappy people. “Why are you here then? It only makes sense to leave if you’re that miserable here.”
supcrnaturally:
“manhattan! i’ve always wanted to go there, but i’m from korea.” tay felt excited just knowing all of the things she’s probably seen and heard. he wanted to hear and see things too, he always did, he just… never had, not yet. he had to rule the world first, and he hadn’t even conquered town yet. “where else have you traveled? where are you going next? can you bring me with?”
“Ooh Korea sounds lovely, as much as I’ve traveled I’ve never been there. I want to though.” She smiled thinking about all of the things she wanted to go and try there. “I’ve been to France, Italy, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Fiji, Switzerland, China, all over the states, Bora Bora.” She paused knowing that she was forgetting some. “I’m thinking Hawaii next and you’re more than welcome to come with.”
wickcd-ways:
“Lucky me, first impressions are often entirely wrong, so hold onto that if you think I’m like ditzy or something bad once this conversation is over.” She giggled again, it would be amazing if Sophia had anything postitve to go off of about Violet. She felt utterly useless all the time.
“Why would people be surprised? Oh..is it..because you’re blonde? They made a movie about that!”
“Well this first impression is going well so far so I hope it stays that way.” From what Sophia could see, Violet seemed nice and very down to earth. In the world she came from that kind of thing was very rare to find. “Yeah, I know I get compared to Elle Woods daily. I think it’s also because I like pink, and shopping, and glitter. According to a large majority of people, I can’t do both. Society just love to stereotype.
supcrnaturally:
“a couple weeks, not long actually. what about you? not from a small town, you said? are you going to stay awhile or are you just visiting?” tay asked, looking from the party to the girl beside him once more. he liked meeting new people, especially when they were nice people.
“Even less time, I’ve been here for a couple of days. I’m originally from New York, Manhattan. Then I moved to Massachussets for college, and then I traveled for a while and now I’m here. I’m visiting a friend, but I might stay for a few weeks.” She smiled. “Where are you from?”
wickcd-ways:
“It’s amazing, I’m a culture nerd at heart when I’m not poring over medical terms. Oh my, that sounds – extensive…so you can read people? Oo, what do you think my mind say about me, or whatever?” Viole asked then realised and pulled a face, giggling, that conversation would be a disaster, “Actually, don’t answer that because this is going well.”
“And you, so what school did you graduate from?” She asked casually slowly walking along the small tables of artifacts.
“I don’t usually try to psychoanalyze people I’ve just met, it normally doesn’t turn out so well.” She laughed, that was how most of her relationships ended. Sophia was too good at reading them and seeing through the bullshit. “Harvard actually. I know, people are usually surprised when I tell them that.”
heidi-bryant:
Heidi was never used to fancy parties like this. She navigated the crowd awkwardly hoping not to step on anyones toes. Finally she found the door and stepped outside into the cool night air. Finally she felt like she could breath, there wasn’t a million eyes on her. She had never been to anything like this and already hated it. She felt uncomfortable in the dress and her shoes were killing her slowly. As she tried to pull the shoes off her feet without sitting down she crashed into someone as they walked through the door. “I am so sorry.” She said quickly glancing over the person for injury.
Sophia had been wondering around the party for ages looking for the girl that she was supposed to be dancing with until someone suggested that she try looking outside. As she headed out she immediately crashed into someone. “It’s okay, don’t worry.” She smiled, looking the girl over for a second. “I don’t suppose your name is Heidi?”
supcrnaturally:
taeyong was smiling as he looked from her to the people around them. “maybe it’s just me. you might have more luck, you have a pretty smile.” honestly, his smile was also beautiful, but he seemed to be really really, good at annoying people and pissing them off also. it outweighed his beauty. “good to meet you, sophia, i’m tay.”
“Wow thank you, you’re very kind.” Sophia smiled, unable to wipe it off at the compliment. The town was turning out to be incredibly nice to her. “It’s nice to meet you too Tay, have you been in town long?”
‘I’m not usually the dress and heels type, I didn’t even wanna come to this whole thing but then something changed my mind.” Was it the fact that she was sick of being at home, sat watching too much reality TV? partly, though it had way more to do with a blonde female she’d had her eye on ever since they’d first met. “I’ll give the founders council one thing though, they sure know how to throw a ball.”
As soon as Sophia spotted the reason she was in Mystic Falls a grin appeared on her face, and she was even within hearing distance of the blonde. “Well I for one am incredibly happy you decided to come along. I’ve been trying to track you down all day!”
wickcd-ways:
“Likewise,” Violet agreed and looked over some of the artifacts that had been on display, “This stuff is so cool, history will forever be my favorite subject, I bet there’d be a whole week of Founder’s stuff if they did this back home.” She shook her head with a sheepish smile, “Thank you. It is totally, but I don’t think I could do it every month, ball or not…I’m Violet by the way.”
Sophia also turned to look at the artifacts with a smile. History had never been her strong suit but it did intrigue her. “I’ve never understood history. I’m a sociology graduate. I like looking into the minds of people, and groups of people. But it’s super interesting.” She turned back to look at the girl. She wasn’t used to meeting new people who hadn’t been introduced to her by friends, or weren't men trying to hit on her. It was refreshing. “Sophia, It’s nice to meet you Violet.”
wickcd-ways:
“Well, I haven’t been here too long so we’re in the same boat,” She replied then looked to her own dress, one hand held a glass of red wine and though her dad was a drunk it didn’t mean she couldn’t have fun, “Why thank you and beats me but I’m on the fence on the one hand I love a night of glamour, on the other this hairstyle was a pain to sit through and I don’t have a lot of gowns to choose from.”
“Oh in that case it’s nice to meet somebody else who is fairly new.” she grinned. “It worth worth it, your hair looks incredible. They do say that beauty is pain, right? That you have to suffer for art or something like that.”
supcrnaturally:
taeyong’s face lit up at the girl’s words. “yeah, i’m having a great time, thanks! honestly, it’s nice to see a smile on someone. everyone’s being so negative around here. but i agree with you, this is great.” he sighed happily and looked out at the crowds of beautiful people dressed up.
“Oh no please don’t tell me I’ve walked into a town filled with negative Nancys.” Sophia sighed. Looking around it was hard to believe when people seemed to be enjoying themselves at the ball. “It really is. I’m Sophia by the way.”
wickcd-ways:
“Tons this is a real nice set up and everyone looks incredible who knew α town could clean up so well?” She said with a genuine smile in return tk the blonde, “You look real pretty, that gown is honestly stunning wow.”
“I’ve only been here for a couple of days so I didn’t really know what to expect but it wasn’t this. Thank you.” She grinned, looking down at herself. “You look beautiful as well. Is this a regular thing around here?”
thefairestnightmare:
Ravyn turned to the girl who had spoken, her eyes swept over the human, a warm smile spreading over her lips. There was something…almost child-like in her manner, and her excitement was nearly infectious.
“I am enjoying myself, but then what’s not to love about a high society affair, the fashion alone is worth the trip out. Is this your first Founders Ball to?”
“Good, that’s nice to hear. You’re right about that, everybody looks so good I’m surprised so many people in such a small town manged to afford these kinds of garments.” She mused, eyes searching the crowds. “it is, I’ve only been in town for a couple of days. Pretty perfect timing I think.”
There she was, fresh off the plane from New York city and desperately in need of a coffee. She looked around at the town in front of her with a smile, it was cute. Sophia was used to cities rather than towns but this was a nice change of pace. “Oh excuse me.” She said to the first person who happened to walk past. “I was wondering if you could help me find the best hotel in this town. Also, could you please direct me to the nearest Starbucks?”
