ok but actually rowan is nothing more than your local irish boy who doesn’t know anything about anything thanks to his familie’s money.
he’s a
so rowan gallagher ur typical run of the mill irish little spoiled boy who doesn’t know anything past being pampered by his familie’s money but it’s not like he doesn’t think he can live perfectly without it.
His family has a long line in his hometown in Ireland, and because of the way he grew up and kind of the bubble he existed in, he never considered what he had out of the normal. But his family has $$ from banking and just being passed down through generations u know.
while rowan is an only child, his home life was always pretty messy bc his parents Hated eachother but bc of irish roman catholic lifestyle were like trapped in their marriage. his mom was kind of more an heiress that supported Rowans’ father’s lifestyle of betting, being a fool, drinking, all that. Rowan witnessed a lot of his father’s digressions, even seeing parts of what he now knows was an affair but is acting like it was. but regardless of his tomfoolery Rowan was still ride or die for his dad he thought they were best buds from dawn til dusk rowan idolized his Dad and still does.
but witnessing his parent’s utter and complete hatred for one another really fucked his perception of love and he thinks marriage is a sham ,, anyways
When Rowan was old enough he decided it was best to go to school. For what you might ask? that’s a real good fuckin question my guy
this dude is studying civil law currently even though it couldn’t honestly make less sense to him
he’s too artsy for things like that, instead enjoying writing more but honestly part of him knows it doesn’t matter what he studies because he’s just going to get into the same business as everyone else in his family does.
He had a minor issue a couple months back, leading him to just stop his studies and that is kind of where he is now. He doesn’t want to go back to school, and sure doesn’t want to be home, so when his uncle mentioned having an extra ticket on the titanic because his partner’s wife just had a baby, rowan jumped at the oppurtunity to get away from everything for a bit. he’s not even particularly close to his uncle of his work, but he can make himself interested, he’d pretty sure.
while he may be a bit of an airhead in the practical sense, hes really book smart. he always kept up rlly well with his studies and can tell u the history of some country u’ve never heard of but that doesn’t stop him from being as dumb™. as he is like he’s just not street smart.
but he finds people so exciting, he loves seeing what people do and how their lives work because what he does can seem so boring and he just likes meeting new ways of living
but he can also lack a bit of a filter now and then, which can make him look like a bit of a dick. he doesn’t mean it, and typically won’t apologize for it either.
annnnnnnnnddddd that is what i have for him right now. i will get to writing out his bio.. eventually, honestly. But in the mean time I would love to plot with any of u lovelie people! I have a connections page right here with some ideas but i am more than open to anything!
