Ignition spark || Chess & Trigger
Asides from the parties the Palace occasionally threw, Chess had never been to an actual club. Even when the Palace was in full swing, it was never to the standards of a night club. It couldnât be, it was too classy for that, all moody lights and expensive cocktails. But the room that Chess was about to step into was entirely different. It was a world of pulsing lights, drumming music and beats so strong and loud that she could practically hear her head splitting in two. So no, she wasnât really ready, but nor could she be, till sheâd experienced the atmosphere first hand. And there was only one way to do that. She had barely noticed the interaction between Trigger and the crappiest bouncer known to man. âNever been more soâ she told him, not allowing the mask to slip even a fraction. As far as he was aware she was cool, calm and in control, and that was how it was going to stay
On the outside all he could see was a calm and collected exterior, but he could almost sense that it wasn't the same for her inside. He didn't mention anything, just gave his cocky smile and opened the door. The volume of the music increased immediately, and he placed his hand on the small of her back lightly, guiding her inside, almost protectively. The club wasn't too busy yet, but already there were people in varying degrees of intoxication, and the bar was already gathering up a crowd. It was warm and dark, but the air was electric like a live wire. He walked further into the club and looked around, surveying the place. "What do you think?" He said bending head a little closer to her and speaking just above the average level to be heard clearly. "Do you want a drink?" he asked, gesturing towards the bar.Â
