A couple of ideas, instead of scales i want to look at changing the build up of the skin so that it is tough and hard wearing. also giving support to the bone structure, like a exoskeleton.

INDN 252 | PROJECT 2
Research of scales and leaf springs that add strength and protect to the animal or machine
INDN 252 | DESIGN PHYSIOLOGY
EXPERIMENT 2A
We had to design a three rings, 1x small, 1x fitted, 1x Large. each ring had to contour to the finger in a certain way.

PROJECT 3: It's in your Hands.
My final form is not a form designed by me but designed by the contours of my hand. It easily silhouettes the shape of my hand it give support, grip and a extremely comfortable feeling. I used A 1911 pistol handle as my inspiration and worked from there to create this custom fitting grip. With indentations not only for the four fingers but also one that wraps its way around the grip for the thumb you get a hold of it that is both strong and has no pressure points creating a solid connection between hand and grip with the less effort possibly.

PROJECT 3: WEBCOMIC
My final Webcomic has turned out how was hoping and I am very pleased with it. I was going for a very clean empty look, which draws attention to the images and drawings themselves. As these are the focus, the harsh white against the black works with this piece as it reflects the harshness and realities of war.
Sorry for the inconvenience of the late upload but I have been having trouble logging into my Tumblr. And thus have had tried many times to upload my work but to no great success. Sorry for the lack of documents as well, somethings still wont upload but i will try again at a later date.

PROJECT 3 | ACTIVATE
My final object for Activate, has for filled all my wants and the needs of the brief. By sticking to the same design as project two, I was again able to focus more on the materials and the workings of the object. Which I think are the most important things for this paper. I used native Kauri timber and acrylic plastic as my materials and took both of them to a smooth finish by sanding with a high grit sand paper. I wanted to focus on anxiety and made my switch out of line with the project when it was on causing an annoying sound. I’m very pleased with my final outcome and have enjoyed this project a lot.
