While we’re trying to end cringe culture, can we give the otherkin community a huge break? They aint hurting yall, a majority of otherkin are either literal minors or mentally ill people who use it as some form of coping mechanism or have an alter/headmate/fictive that’s kin with a certain character or some combination of the above two.

They know they’re human and not a duck or karkat or something irl, they don’t need your constant reminders, just let them live and keep your salt to themselves.

Being a system is not an identity. It’s a disorder, dissociative identity disorder. You can’t identify as a system, you have a dissociative disorder or you don’t. It cannot occur naturally because of the way it occurs in the first place.

There is no other possible way to develop a system because DID is literally what being a system is. Stop spreading misinformation and blatantly ignoring psychological fact.

The expression “All systems are different!” was not meant as an opening for people without DID/OSDD to invade our spaces. It doesn’t mean “Anybody can be a system” or “No system should be questioned because anything is possible”.

Stop twisting words meant to comfort trauma victims who are struggling with their disorder to accommodate your games or confusion.

Please welcome my two newest alters, Rose Quartz and Pearl from Steven Universe! It was a crazy intense ride last night as they finally revealed themselves so I ended up sleeping all day and I’m already going to bed because I’m still exhausted.

Also I forgot to mention when another alter came out! Her name is Rosie! She’s young ish and maybe slightly autistic and she’s deaf and mute although she’s learning to recognize sounds and such now.

We're confirmed not DID by not having the necessary symptoms, but I didn't decide to be this way and it's possible we had a traumatic source. Now how am I supposed to feel about this blog?

if you don't have DID, then you don't have DID. is it possible that you have OSDD-1? I don't care who follows this blog, DID or not. when I'm on, I try to reblog PTSD things as well as DID posts, which you might be able to relate to if you've had trauma in your life. some of the others don't believe in endogenic systems, although I'm unsure. I keep going back and forth in my opinion of them. but the bottom line is, you're allowed to feel however you want about this blog. no one can tell you how to feel, you have to decide that for yourself. ~chartreuse
