KIR Postmortem/New Listeners
If you are reading this that means you are either stumbling on this podcast for the first time or a long time listener coming back to see how we’re doing. Well this podcast is over circa October 2017 and it feels great.
The couple or so years was a wild ride and we learned a lot. If you’re listening for the first time, skip to episodes 60-ish; this is where the quality gets better and we hopefully pick up some of the slack. Yes, some of the references will feel dated but I think there’s still value in some of the pop-culture items we comment on as we relate it to the arts in a faux kind of way.
If you are long time listener: how’s it going girl? What’s good? Yeah we (of the KIR lore) are good. We’re happy to have gone as long as we could have. Towards episode 100 we (Joseph mostly) were stumbling and losing steam so we thought it was a good time to leave with our heads held high. I mean, how many of your close friends are like, “Hey we should do a podcast, it’ll be tight and shit and we’ll be famous” and you go hard for like 5 episodes then you realize how much work it is to meet consistently, prepare, record, edit, and all that other bullshit. Then life gets in the way and one of you friends flake on a recording day and you’re like, “well shit, I would rather play Overwatch instead.” You then play Overwatch and suddenly forget about your podcast-related dreams. It happens girl, I feel you.
We’re hoping to do other podcast related projects in the future and we’ll let you know when that happens. For now we’re just gonna hang, you know, going to dessert bars, talkin’ gossip, eating over-designed pizzas, arguing about minuscule shit. Basically, things that best friends do when they aren’t podcasting.
So long and I hope you can enjoy. I am happy to say that doing this podcast made us closer and really helped worked out our own issues (weird huh).
Later,
Joseph
XOXO
