not to be a wet blanket on wet fart dog, but she has done a couple of q&a forums where she said it's basically a more "whimsical" version of reality in so many words, so while I think there's a lot of room for speculation, I think the porn aspect was probably rooted in reality and the rest (his obvious insecurity, and distance etc.) were more of a inference of much bigger problems in their relationship that made the porn addiction go from an annoying issue they had to conquer to an unlivable situation given their other problems.
