In primary school, you are who you are, because that's who everyone WANTS YOU TO be and EXPECT YOU TO BEHAVE.
High school is the perfect platform where you AND ONLY YOU get to decide who you are, who you want to be and where you fit in .
I haven't completely found myself, but if you did, HOLD ON TO THAT PERSON!:) That's who you are and want to be and if people don't like it or don't approve, simply tell them: "SHAME!!!! Jammer om van jo probleem te hoor."
But if you ever start doubting yourself and wonder if that "new person" is who you want to be, ask yourself : "Who does God want me to be?". /:)

Jesus > Religion
FIRST OF ALL, I don't get the point in being "religious". There's nothing you can do that will make you less of a sinner, but every thing you can do that will make you more of a Pharisee. Remember it's only by grace that we're saved, not by our good deeds. However, the Scripture clearly says that we should abstain from sinning. This means that you should sin as less as possible, (by such actually hating your own sin) so that you won't became reckless in your sinful nature. In other words don't take the punishment of sin for granted, nor the law against it as faith upholds the law, it does not remove it. If you cheapen sin - you cheapen God, the sacrifice for sin was so great that we should live in a manner which is repentant, avoiding sin and not turning a blind eye to it or promoting it. In understanding the degree of which our sin is condemnable we thus understand the degree of which Christ ransomed us thereof. Therefore Christ is glorified in our obedience and appreciated in our consciousness towards sin.
In conclusion, there's nothing to be religious about, it's simply understanding the Cross, the debt that was paid to have you freed from captivity. Jesus is greater than religion and will always be, live by faith in Christ and ou shall abide to (and justified by) his righteousness and not your own.
