"I give people gifts and what do I get? No reply. Nothing. Absolutely zero thanks."
"Where have you been? I needed you and you weren't there!"
"Away."
"Acadia what happened to you? Why are you acting so strange?"
"I have to go. Excuse me."
Chandler tilted his head as he caught her muttering something, but the words escaped his hearing. “No, my family is just bat-shit crazy,” he stated bluntly. “No ‘turning’ about it. That’s how it’s always been. I escaped to the palace to evade them, not to have them chase me down. For some reason I was under the impression you loved your brother? Weren't you two close?”
Acadia smiled slightly, just the corner of her lips turning up before she rolled her eyes. "You couldn't be any more relatable. No, my brother and I are very close. I just haven't seen him in a while. I was talking about my sisters and I though. "
"That will only bite you in the ass later. I would know. Who are you anyway?"
"I don't care, I don't care, and non of your business."
"What? Why„,?"
"No- I- Thought it was something else."
"Where have you been? I needed you and you weren't there!"
"Away."
"Was it because of something my family did? Ansten? Me?"
"Communication is key to a healthy relationship," Chandler recited with a small smile. At her question, he pulled a face. "Unfortunately. Both of my brothers came here quite recently. I pray you never have the displeasure of meeting them. How long have you been back?"
"You couldn't be more right," she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest tightly. "Are you not fond of your siblings either? I wouldn't be surprised. Many siblings here are turning against eachother, unsurprisingly."
"At least I’m the one trying to be pleasant you just don’t even care do you?”
"Coorrect. I don't care."
"Where have you been? I needed you and you weren't there!"
"Away."
"Touring Ancient Greece sounds incredible, actually," he mused. "Although I suppose you’re used to such. Ah, relatives. I do hope yours are better than mine. Do you have any family here at the palace or are they all back home?"
"My sisters are here but I don't know about my brother. The last time I saw him, he was here but, well, no one talks anymore." Acadia pursed her lips in a tight line. "What about you? Family here?"
Chandler pouted. “Boo. Well, we both know the only reason I keep you around is for your dog, so…” he trailed off, winking. “Where’ve you been? Am I just completely unaware or did you disappear?”
Acadia raised an eyebrow before realizing that he was joking. "I was back home for a while. I decided to do a little touring with the relatives to get my mind of things."
"That doesn’t make any sense. I’m a good person which you would know nothing about."
"I'm so sure about that."
"Hells no, they aren’t."
"You sure about that? I'd think again munchkin."
"Missed you to, Dia," Chandler flashed a grin. "No puppy?"
Acadia rolled her eyes. "Not today, no. He's sleeping."
"That’s kind of rude. You don’t even know me."
"I don't have to know you, sweetheart."
"Which one are we talking about here, darling? You need to be more specific."
"Which ones do you think, Dianthe?"
