Happy Early Valentine’s Day!!!

I hope all of you have a great Valentine’s Day on Monday. Have you already sent out your cards and candies?

If you’re looking for something to wear on Monday, we have a cute “Valentine Heart” sublimation top that would look great on you girls. Sorry guys, I don’t have anything for you....yet :)))) Of course, it’s at Dillard’s.com or stop by any Dillard’s store and pick up one. Oh, and our boots are on sale too!

We’re taking the weekend off and taking it easy so we’ll be ready for a three night weekend next weekend with George and LeeAnn! We’ll be in Indianapolis, Cleveland and Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Shelby is racing next weekend in Sebring, Florida so please say a prayer for his safety.

We had a great time in San Antonio last Tuesday at the rodeo. I had a TV in my dressing room so I got to watch the entire rodeo! Too much fun! The folks at San Antonio are always so nice to us. We’ve performed at the rodeo 13 times! They said that makes us family! Sweet!

We’ve seen the 2nd edit of the “If I Were A Boy” video. It’s getting there! Stay tuned! I’ll let you know when we release it!

The single is doing great racing up the charts! Thanks so much for all your support. It sure is fun singing it at our shows.

I’m having a blast touring. My band and crew are so much fun to work/play with! They love their job and it definitely shows! What a great group of talented people! If you haven’t seen one of our shows lately, come on out! We’d love to have you!

Well, I had a great day in Daytona Beach, Florida yesterday. Shelby raced in his first professional race yesterday at Daytona International Speedway in the Grand Am Series with the Rousch Racing Team. The race is a two and a half hour race that uses 2 drivers per team. Shelby’s team qualified to start in the 25th position. Shelby was the first driver for his team and drove for one and a half hours. Shelby took the car from 25th place to 1st place at the end of his turn. Very impressive! His team mate drove the car for the final hour and they ended up in 18th place. Being in the pit with the crew, ( who I have the utmost respect and admiration for) watching Shelby on the track racing at 170 mph was the biggest rush I’ve ever had!! You can see what I’m talking about because the race can be seen on the Speed Channel on Saturday, February 5th, at 3:00 PM EST. Shelby’s car is #51. Shelby’s first interview is attached for the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Congrats to Shelby on his first professional race! We’re very proud and very thankful to God for keeping him safe.

Good news!! I'm on my 2nd lesson for Spanish! That still doesn't make it right for someone to come up to me and start speaking perfect Spanish and expect me to understand them, okay!!!!???? This will take a little longer than I expected but what I'm very surprised about is, I love it!!! I'm having a great time learning!

On another note, I've had this week off reading and enjoying life! Mama gave me a book about Rhett Butler's family, fiction of course, but being a huge fan of "Gone With The Wind", I'm loving every minute of it. I also finished a book Chris Rich had recommended to me entitled, "A Reliable Wife". I have to say I like reading about Rhett better.

We're taping the video for "If I Were A Boy" this week so keep your fingers crossed for all of us that it goes smoothly and as planned. Then we'll be in Florida for three shows with George and LeeAnn.

Great Weekend!!!

We kicked off our spring tour with LeeAnn Womack and George Strait Friday night in Austin, TX. Saturday night we were in my home state of Oklahoma!!! Thanks to everyone who came out to Austin and Oklahoma City! We had a blast! I got to visit with friends and family and reminisce about old times! Too much fun. James Guest, who played guitar for me in my first band, Southern Comfort back in the 70's, surprised me at my meet & greet in Austin! Turns out I have been saying the wrong town where we all first met up! I said it was Poteet, TX at a bull sale and James said it was in Lucenbach, TX at a horse sale!!!! I have a feeling he's right....

Melissa Peterman showed up at my concert too. Be on the lookout for her new show on CMT. "Working Class"!!! It airs January 28th! I can't wait!!!

After our show in OKC, Narvel and I flew down Sunday and met up with my family for lunch in McAlester. We ate a lot and told a bunch of great stories. Mama and Daddy love cutting up with the kids!

The new single "If I Were A Boy" is out now. Be listening for it on your favorite radio station. We're doing it on our shows and it's getting a great response. Thanks so much!

We have a weekend off before our shows in Florida. So I'll talk to you soon.

Have you stated your New Year’s Resolutions yet? I did. It’s the same as the last 3 years...I going to learn how to speak Spanish!!!!! Three years ago I bought the Rosetta Stone Spanish CD Program.

Last year, I got it out of the box and put it in my CD carrier. It went everywhere with me. This year, I got it out of my CD carrier and I have now downloaded it into my lap top!!!! Progress!!!!!!
