I hit a plateau with writing and am revising under the guise of “But I’ve changed a bunch of stuff and I need to make sure I know what’s there before I write more!” It is a flimsy excuse and I know it.

I wrote a lot more this month than I thought I did! I’m now over 20,000 words!

I’m still writing! More at the pace of like 100 words a day, so who knows when this novel will be finished. But still trying to do a bit a day! Even if it’s super awkwardly phrased attempts at old-timey speech!

Thinking about how comma isn’t grammatically correct, but there should be a pause there.

I might change the word “stunned,” but I’m not sure which other word quite fits the way I want it.

I want my character to be snarkier than I’m currently writing her as. This line gets closer to it.

Shower thoughts this morning meant revising dialogue to be more consistent with the characterization I’ve been telling rather than showing.
