He wraps his arms around Eddie’s limp body and draws him close. He doesn’t give a shit if he actually is dead, he’s not leaving him here. He deserves more than to rot in Pennywise’s fucked-up murder cave. Through a series of grunts and groans, he pulls Eddie away from the dark, jagged rocks he was slouched against and draws him into his arms.

“Richie, please, we have to go!”

“Then go!” Richie shouts furiously, shooting Bill a glare, “I’m not fucking leaving him!”

After what will hopefully be the final fight against the infamous clown demon, Pennywise, Eddie remains unresponsive as he recovers from his wounds. Richie falls apart waiting for Eddie’s revival while the rest of the Losers do their best to deflect any additional harm that threatens their half-alive friends.

The day starts with waking up in a heavy, fatigued body.

Richie normally isn’t one to complain–in any other manner than joking, anyway–but fuck do his limbs feel like they’re filled with lead. It takes him minutes to come into consciousness, and then he feels a vague sense of panic at how limited his movement is. Still, wakefulness has decided it’s too far away to grasp. He falls back asleep.

The second time Richie wakes up, it’s with a groan and a crick in his neck. He’d fallen asleep shirtless and somehow laid wrong on his shoulder, so now relaxing those muscles feels like uncoiling a spring. Richie squints at his alarm clock but it’s too far away to read. Guessing by the light streaming in through his blinds, though, it’s sometime past noon.

Second puberty can suck ass sometimes.
