He thought about it for a long moment, fingers idly tracing old scratches and dents in his deck holster. It should’ve been replaced years ago; he started the school year with it. 

“My future. My home.” He shrugged as he struggled to put what he really felt in words. It was never easy voicing them, it was easy to bottle them up and leave like he always did.

There was nobody else to leave behind.

“My friends and family... my dreams. The only thing I can count on is the next fight and a new monster trying to wreck havoc in my world.” His fingers stopped and he sighed.

“I wish it was different though.”

Walking around the angel as he tried to accept the other’s answer the belief that he was truly an angel not happening. “Hmmm, are you really one? You sure do not act like one, and yeah I suppose the whole halo missing is also a reasoning.”

Rubbing the back of his neck as he poked lightly at the red and orange wings with his other hand, “Aren’t they also suppose to have white wings? Those colors make me think Phoenix more. Are those even real actually.”

Judai watched the human walk around him, appraising him. He frowned. What was so hard to believe? He had the outfit and wings to prove it! Before he could comment, he jumped at the sudden touch, swinging around to face his human.

“Wings come in different colors, just like eye colors and other junk.” He crossed his arms, his wings curling behind him. “And... I think so? I never seen one before but probably.”

Well, Duel Monsters will always be a passion for him but that didn’t stop him from being curious about otherworldly games. He’d have to ask her about any other things they do for fun.

His attention was brought back to the cards once she pointed out a purple edged card. “Yeah, fusion monsters are the coolest and I guess the spell cards are keys. That’s a nice touch.”
