every now and then i see people use this scene as proof that takemichi loves mikey more than hina and i have to close my eyes and pretend i do not see.
i'm not saying it's not fruity, but this isn't takemichi wishing mikey was in hina's place, or just plain not caring about hina. this is takemichi's guilt and gratefulness — guilt because he went back in time to save mikey and hina, but instead, he had to watch as mikey's world crumbled. emma died, and takemichi couldn't do anything about it. izana, the only sibling mikey had left, also died, and takemichi couldn't do anything about that, either. takemichi himself doesn't realize his own power to move hearts, so he attributes the win against tenjiku to mikey (and draken). he changed the future, but how worth it was it, when mikey ended up miserable?
gratefulness, because despite all of that, no matter how much takemichi blames himself, mikey never blamed him for it, and instead ensured takemichi and their friends would reach their happy ending anyway.
he's literally saying it in the "incriminating" panels — he was happy because he saw hina in her wedding dress, but he remembers mikey's smile when he's happy, because mikey made that happiness possible in the first place. and then he remembers mikey's smile being the one he always smiles when he's bottling things up and not asking for help, therefore takemichi felt like he abandoned mikey, and how can he be happy about that?
a few chapters ago, before he saw mikey's tape, he was already crying at the THOUGHT of hina's dress and their wedding.
him crying at seeing the dress in person is just reality solidifying itself in his mind: this is the happy future he wanted, but he can't even be sure mikey, the one who made it happen, is happy too, especially after seeing the tape mikey left him that was pretty much a cry for help, even if mikey himself didn't realize that. takemichi just thinks it's selfish of him to be happy without making sure everyone is too. it's really that simple.
also he didn't ditch his wedding with hina. he was literally inviting mikey to the wedding. it was a stupid choice, of course, because takemichi doesn't know how to think things through and didn't stop to consider his life would be in danger when meeting with a crime boss, but he didn't go meet mikey with the intention of missing his wedding. i don't know where people are getting that idea from.
also reminder that takemichi was actually willing to let mikey go until he saw the tape, because he realized mikey was NOT fine, and takemichi wasn't about to abandon him after seeing that.
