SPEAK OUUT FOR PALESTINE!!!!!
I don't know if anyone is interested but maybe..? š
John Marston: *squirting tomato ketchup on instant noodles* muttering āits papa bronte this, papa bronte thatā
I want need to draw this!
I donāt like the idea of making Ciri non-white just for the sake od diversity.
I know technically the series is not technically set in Eastern Europe but The Witcher series has a huge cult following in Eastern Europe, the autor is Polish, the original language is Polish and the video game studio is Polish. Polish people grew up on these books and they are so proud of it. It borrows a lot from Polish and Slavic cultures, especially mythology and strugles and discrimination.
Not only that but Ciri has grey hair, green eyes and pale skin, traits that are so important to her character because of her secret origin.
The fact that Americans are adapting Slavic stories and changing them up bothers me. The Witcher is an awesome adaptation of Slavic folklore and mythology and we donāt get that AT ALL!
Having a diverse cast is admirable and it should be like that. But sometimes that doesnāt have its place. Slavic countries just donāt have diversity in races, it is what it is.
Iām from a Slavic country and the only reason Iāve seen black and asian people in real life is because Iāve traveled west and because Croatia is a tourist country. And theyāve all been lovely, some of my most precious memories from my student exchange are with them. But in reality they are not in a Slavic culture and we didnāt grew up with them.
Iām all up for diversity but I think we should stick to source material if the race is pivotal in it. Create more non-white characters, donāt take away from other peopleās culture.
I know that Americans will think Iām ignorant and racist. Europe is not one country and you donāt seem to get that. Not all white people are the same. Slavic countries donāt have the privilege the west has. Weāve been seen as low tier our entire lives. We migrate to Germany and work heavy lifting jobs nobody wants. We are ridiculed because of our accent when in reality so many of us speak English and many other languages with normal accents. Iāve had people not believe me Iām from Croatia because I donāt have a russian accent and have darker skin tone (south Croatians have darker skin because of the Mediterranean). Us Slavic people are not represented AT ALL. Iāve grown up to movies and tv shows representing Slavic characters as drunk, ghetto looking people who talk about vodka in Russian accent and live in communities with torn up buildings, no technology or public transportation, in plain and grey looking areas. Want to know how Slavic women are represented? As hooker looking women with long dark straight hair, also with Russian accent because of course, who dress in mini skirts and fur coats. Itās offensive really.
Slavic countries are poor compared to the west but we have so much to offer. And we want our culture to be shown. Poland deserves it. Let them show how proud they are.
Iām sorry but I just donāt like this change.
Eid Mubarak!
I wish you all a blessed Eid Al Ad-ha.

About Childhood, growing up and physical proximity?
Lots of stories, love stories especially in manga, show you two characters as childhood friends then one starts to develop feelings for another during puberty. Often, what happens is that after a cut in the friendship through moving or just drifting apart, one can romanticise that childhood to the point of developing these feelings once the two reunite.
When I used to say to some of my friends online at the beginning of the story, that Black and White just canāt be lovers, one theorized (like many other readers), itās because White is not real. To which one of my other friends,Ā āthatās not convincing enough. people ship Sora and Roxas.ā :PĀ
haha fair enough. But when I say ācanātā, I just mean they just spent way too much time together to see one another though that lens.

Things bookworms are upset about
- sequels coming out in a different size than the first book
- damaged book mail
- that we canāt read through our tbr pile before we die
- that time the Library of Alexandria got burned down
- the book waiting list in our local library
- buying different editions of the same book because we can't resist the beautiful colorful covers
You know, this is why content creators end up abandoning their works, right?
80 likes compared to 10 reblogs means that only 12% of people decided that what you did is worth showing other people.
If you like the thing, reblog it. You donāt even have to add tags, just spread it so that a) other people can see it, and b) the creator gets recognition for what they did.
Obviously, those numbers are never going to match, but the divide should not be that huge.
Itās even more important right now, because tumblr is garbage and theyāve stopped allowing anything with an outside link from appearing in tags. Writers/artists cannot tag things to their twitter/store/writing website. That can cause a significant drop in views, especially for newer creators.
Like⦠we arenāt asking for much. A few reblogs. Reviews/comments. No creator should have to beg for that much.

What I mean when I say I like a villain:
I like their story
I like their motivations
I like their skills/powers
I like their intelligence
I like their quotes
I find them interesting
I like their relationship with other character(s)
What I definitely donāt mean when I say I like a villain:
āTheyāre just misunderstoodā
Iām defending every single one of their actions and I think theyāre 100% innocent
Iām a dumbass who doesnāt know that theyāre a villain
