Claire glanced at the other standing beside her as she beheld the sight of the grocery store candy completely bathed in pink and red with little hearts everywhere. It was quite a sight to be hold, and Claire could only bring herself to love one thing more than chocolate. “I don’t know about you, but I definitely have the hottest Valentine’s Day Date,” she marched over and picked up a large, dark bag with pictures of heart-shaped dark chocolates on the front, “This bag right here.” Then she glanced over her shoulder and grinned, “and those over there too…”
“ I, PERSONALLY, COULDN’T EVER make that claim in good conscience. you win. ” it’s less of a jab and more of an attempt at placation, although she’s sure claire’s rose-colored frames were impenetrable at this point either way. “ you sure about that ? ‘cause the latest cosmo said chocolates were totally out of style for v-day this year. described it as too corny, obnoxious even. i mean, i relate, but, ” she leans over her cart in a feigned attempt to keep coy, loud whisper and all, “ i can help you out if you’d like, friend. ”
