This is a partial shade garden on the north side of a house. It's an example of creatively utilizing an area that would normally be considered marginal for food production by choosing species suited to that nitche. These fruits are planted above and below a contour swale that intercepts rainfall from the home's roof via a downspout. All of these delicious fruits you can not purchase in markets. There are also ground cover plants that provide culinary herbs, medicine, fertilizer and habitat for beneficial insects.
