There was no way Jihyo tried to poison Jongkook on purpose. Despite liking to pull pranks on him and everything, poisoning his food was just over the top and very dangerous. It could’ve gone very wrong and he would probably be more than sick and having a stomachache. She didn’t like the thought of hurting him like that, not even for the fun of it. Sure Jihyo was mean, but she wasn’t heartless.
Clasping her hands together with a big smile, she waited expectantly for her two guests to try her food. She wanted to hear their opinion, their critics on her cooking skills, and while she knew she had to wait for Jongkook to try her food (she figured it was because of the incident that happened in the past) she turned her attention to Lucario instead. She was so caught up in watching Lucario eat that she didn’t really notice Jongkook had begun tasting her food, bit by bit.
It was only when he commented how bad her food was that she turned around her attention back to him, hands still clasped together but her smile had vanished, replaced by a small frown. She didn’t take his words to heart though, knowing that he was only joking by the looks of his faked expression. Lucario also played a part in her knowing what Jongkook really thought. The Aura Pokémon had told her that Jongkook was lying and complimented her on the food she made. A smile graced her lips and Jihyo walked around the kitchen counter to give him a hug.
“Lucario, you’re the best!” she said and gave him a quick kiss on the top of his head before she turned around to face her friend, “You should’ve known better than to lie to me, oppa. Now, why don’t you really tell me what you think about my cooking? I’ve gotten better since the last time, haven’t I?”
