“Well, I could hardly let Emma sleep in her car, now could I? And now that Neal has been released from the hospital, I’ve invited them both. It’s not like I don’t have the extra space.”
“Neal too? Well now your place will certainly become crowed. Don’t you think that is a bit dangerous to allow two strangers into your house?” Neal too? Oh this was getting out of control, she needed to stop it.

“I believe I’ve used these words to you before, but this time a little more true than the last…” He pointed out to the yellow VW bug, feeling more positive this time than he had with the man that had shown up 10 years ago. “May I present to you your salvation.” It was what he had called Victor after all, wasn’t it?
“A car? A car is my salvation? Jefferson I am tired of your games and either you stop this stupid quest for my so called salvation or I will make sure that you will never and I mean never see your daughter again.” She was getting tired, very tired of his games, the last time he had pulled a card like this hadn’t went that well not to mention that Regina had no pleasure or wish in having the curse broken. Oh no, she wanted this town under her control for a very long time and no one to have their happy endings. If she could not then why would others be able to be happy?

“Guess. What do you think is happening?”
“If you remember it well which I know that you do, then you know I don’t like games Jefferson. Spill it out before I lose my patience.”

“It really is quite simply Madam Mayor. I purchased this new couch and these gentlemen are kind enough to help me bring it into my loft so I can prepare for my new roommates.” She explained.
“Roommate? Since when have you acquired a roommate Miss. Blanchard?” Apparently things were happening behind Regina’s back making the mayor far from happy. One thing that she hated the most was losing the control over her town.

“Are you going to tell me what is happening or you want me to guess?”
Sorry I haven’t been on that much, but I’m back and ready to get new storylines started.
Kathryn listened to Regina, though few of the words resonated with her. She wanted nothing more than to accept the mayor’s words as truth, and leap into a wonderful life with her husband. However, that was unrealistic. At least it felt that way after repeatedly observing her ghost-like husband in the hospital bed, as he failed to recollect moments of the past. “I didn’t fight for him earlier, so why should I expect him to fight for me?”
“Do you know what it feels like to be the only who knows the truth in a situation, to know who someone really is? Because that’s what I feel everyday and I feel like a fraud supporting David now when I ran away the first second things went bad.” the blonde began. “We were in a marriage and I left him. I shouldn’t be with him. Maybe you should talk to him for me, give him some time to find himself with me out of the equation.”
Regina was not enjoying one bit where this conversation was heading, she could barely believe that Kathryn wanted to give up, that she wanted to simply walk out of her marriage. “My dear he was in come for so long, it takes time. You cannot expect him to snap one day and just fall back to the husband that you remember because that will not happen. He will need your help, he will need people who care and who are close to him to help him with his memories. Too much time in coma can do this; can push someone into a coma. He needs you now more than ever, you are the only family that he has even if at the moment he doesn’t remember.”
Oh, how she knew that, how she knew the feeling of been the only one knowing something, been the only one aware of the truth but that was something that Regina was not going to share. “Are you sure? Are you sure that this is what you want? Are you sure that you simply want to walk out of this marriage even knowing that there is a change and a huge one that David will return to his old self, to the man that you married, the man that you love. Are you sure?”

Eyebrows raising when the very same woman he had been wondering over stepped into his room, David attempted to cover his surprise. “The way I hear it,” he started, crooked smile growing in the corner of his lips, “I wasn’t exactly in control.”
Lies mixed right in with the truth. Most of his trek into the woods was still a blur to him, but other parts? He hadn’t been able to forget them no matter how hard he’d tried. Panic and triumph, something pulling him past streets he couldn’t remember, buildings he didn’t recognize, and into darkened woods that gave him the closest feeling of familiarity. And then he had stopped at a toll bridge.
It made about as much sense to him as it did to anyone else. Moving the desk off his lap down by his feet, he swung his legs back out and gestured towards one of the visitors’ chairs, wordlessly inviting her to take a seat. “But I do know that I gave you all a whole lot of trouble for it, so I’m sorry for that. And thank you, for everything you put together,” he continued, settling to sit on the edge of his bed.
“Dr. Whale said that is normal to be a bit confused once you wake up from a long coma and don’t seem to remember much, amnesia is normal apparently. Give it time and I’m certain that in no time and with your wife’s help that you will start remembering.” Regina gave him a small smile and watched as he pushed the desk away, she was wondering if he was going to stand. He did however swing his legs off the bed while pointing to one of the chairs.
With a small nod Regina walked over to one of the chairs and took a seat, resting her hands on her lap as she watched David, the smile simply grew as she listened to him thanking her for all she has done. “Do not worry David, I am the mayor of the town and my main concern is the wellbeing of everyone and when I found you unconscious on the side of the road I couldn’t let you there, I couldn’t leave you there.” That was after all the story that everyone knew, that Regina had found the man unconscious on the side of the road as if he had been in some sort of accident.
“Extra paperwork doesn’t bother me; I just want everyone to be safe and well.” The small smile turned into a more genuine one. “Did Dr. Whale said when you are supposed to leave? I am sure that your wife cannot wait to have you back home. Also a more familiar ground is probably better for you, might trigger some small bits and pieces of your past. Has anything come to mind lately?”
“Love isn’t supposed to be this way.” the blonde began to pace around the office, her entire brain racing a mile a minute. “We were fighting, he went into a coma, and then he forgot me.”
“It’s a sign that I should let him ago. The universe is punishing me for abandoning my husband; it is clearly telling me that I need to move on.” Kathryn’s voice began to break, her entire composure beginning to crumble. “Why else wouldn’t he remember me? I-I just want my husband back.”
Oh no, this could not happen. Why did she needed to have a conscious attack right now? They needed to stay together in order to keep Mary-Margaret away from David. Rounding her desk Regina came to stop the blonde woman by placing her hands on her shoulders. “Listen to me dear, love is never easy, and don’t you think for one second that this is your fault because it isn’t. David needs you now more than ever.”
Regina really needed to put some sense on her head, she could not leave David. “Love is about effort, is about fighting so you can’t just walk away now. He doesn’t remember you because was due to how long he was in coma but with your help and with you by his side I have no doubt that he will remember you and then you two can go back to the wonderful married life that you had. Just be patient and be by his side, you will have your husband back.”

Frazzled, David decided, peeking out the door at the staff member rushing back-and-forth from his own spot on the bed. That was a good word to describe the hospital since the night of his awakening. If there was a Storybrooke-specific crossword, he’d get that in one. Shaking his head, he turned back to the papers spread across his lap desk. It wasn’t easy to judge which one was worse to try and decipher. The hectic state wasn’t just due to him; apparently, over the past couple of days the chaos of having a coma patient wake up without any discernible stimulus and wander into the woods, another patient also get loose and nearly get himself in a car accident, and a sudden influx of patients moving in and out was more than anyone could deal with. It had taken him days just to get a hold of his own paperwork.
Not that he could do much with it. The only fact about himself that he was able to fill in was his name – almost every other box he’d have to get Kathryn to help him with the next time she came down, who was another entire set of problems all unto her own.
The almost was held up in the case of the last boxes not needing to be taken care of. Ink still fresh from the printer, Regina Mills and a corresponding phone number were already filled in by the computer before him. The only reason the name was familiar to him was because of the sheer amount of hearing it being thrown around by his doctor. The coma patient in care of the mayor – one more impossible puzzle to solve. Drumming his pen on the side of the desk, David stared down at his task. The knock on his open door was a welcome reprieve from his confusion, and he called, “Come on in,” as he tossed the pen back onto one of his bedside tables.
Regina had no idea what was happening in this town, things had seemed to be under control as they should be, but since David had waken up then everything had just become far too chaotic, she couldn’t believe the amount of patients that were awakening and some even trying to run away. It gave her a headache just to think about it as she sighed, pulling the car into the hospital’s parking place. The other patients did not matter after all there was only one that actually Regina needed to keep up with and that was David Nolan; she needed to have him under a very watchful eye.
Good thing that Regina had become David’s new best friend, oh how almost made her laugh to think how the woman trusted her, how she would seek her in order to have a heart to heart conversation. Shaking her head with an amused smile Regina grabbed her purse and exited the car, locking it and walking to the hospital’s entrance, there was no need to ask the room or the floor she simply gave a polite nod to the nurses that she walked by while heading straight to David’s room.
Gently knocking on the door the brunette heard him telling her to come in, slowly opening the door, she peeked inside first; smile never once fading her perfect red lips. “David? Do you mind if I come in?” Regina did not waited for an answer instead; she simply opened the door wider and stepped in, closing it behind her. “I’m glad to see you awake and back in the hospital. Running away isn’t exactly the smartest move to take after been in coma for so long.”
“Harbor reports, Madam Mayor, and you might want to consider doing something about that attitude. Any more scathing and you’ll skin the next unfortunate soul who walks in your door.”
“Then please do not waste my time any further and just handle me those reports.” The Mayor extended her hand waiting for the papers. “That is exactly the point Killian, perhaps then people in this town will learn to not waste my time.”
Regina and Henry… Fellow super nerds. Comic Con is coming up. I think we know where these two would be.
“I’m sorry, is this a bad time? You’re my only friend and I needed someone to talk to.”
“Oh Kathryn please excuse my rudeness is just I am pilled with work but please dear take a seat, what can I do for you? What happened?” The brunette looked concernedly at the woman before her. “Is everything alright?”
