it's the fact that she was full of such a sadistic, yet childish joy when she got what she wanted. it's the fact that her mass destruction can be compared to that of an excited little kid mercilessly ripping through the wrapping of their new gift, resorting to biting and ripping and prying open that container just to play with their new toy
Grassy perfectly depicts a child stuck in a hurtful and lonely environment and the toll it takes on them (analysis incoming!! gulps)
During pre-elimination in tpot 19, Grassy can be seen happy with his current parent figure, Snowball, as he usually is. He doesn't truly understand whats going on, but he knows something is wrong from the way the others are acting
To distract him and the other more whimsical characters, they begin the Cake at Stake which is were Snowball is eliminated. Grassy is upset of course and takes Snowballs words to heart, to be strong while he's gone.
Grassy believes he can easily find another person that cared for him like Snowball did. This represents the innocence of a child, as some children after losing their parents cling onto the nearest adult figure that were similar to their now lost parent.
In this case, Grassy clings onto Tennis Ball as he is also a ball! But after getting rejected, he continues to wait alone until the challenge starts.
This is when he becomes very involved in Snowballs wish, as if he were afraid to disappoint the only person that truly cared for him. Grassy clings onto Pencil next since he assumes Pencil is very strong due to the powers she got.
Pencil is well. Pencil. And she manages to upset Grassy a lot by rejecting him over and over, making him cry. Grassy has clearly given up hopes by this point and although Pencil helps him, he is still alone, with no one to cling onto and comfort him. cries 😭
Grassy doesn't know almost everyone has literally died, but no one has come to look for him either. A child cannot be alone for a long time, it causes emotional distress, anxiety, emotional neglect, and social issues as well.
Grassy being alone in this case could means he will be affected roughly by the situation, as he rarely lacks interaction or a source of care and comfort. A sudden change like this could mean he can never be the same again, he could become scared of people abandoning him.
Grassy was shown screaming and crying in the vents at the near end of the episode in hopes someone will hear him or simply to let out the emotions flooding him due to the upsetting situation.
In conclusion, Grassy needs a very long hug :3 also sorry if i repeated myself a lot idk... im gonna delete this its so bad im sorry readers
OP YOU'RE SO RIGHT. this episode has shown us that the competition will become more cutthroat as time goes on. The stakes are high -- way too high for a child to handle.
This is why I believe grassy should have been out: he's just a kid. He's completely innocent (till now), he isn't ready yet for the dangers the competition entails.
Exactly!! He was clearly not ready to be in the competition.
A child like Grassy might've thought it was a fun game with little stakes! Play, try to win, and if your team loses, someone has to be eliminated. But after tpot 19, he is definitely very affected by this sudden change in the way of the game, especially after losing Snowball.
Grassy should've left the game in tpot 19 instead of Snowball because of thaatttt!!! Snowball, while egotistical, can handle such a rough situation and get through it, but a child cannot.
