Here goes:

I don’t make posts like this very often, but here goes.

Last night I saw the last show of Adam’s Clown Heart tour and it was both fantastic and emotional. I won’t go into the show details cuz that’s not what this is about, but we’ll just say raspberries and be done with it.

Afterwards I spoke to him and said thankyou for using the Choose Love, and he just said “no thank you, it’s all yours, you did it, it was all you”, and I honestly could have cried. (Small point: my bestie Shell @dominatednomslave put as much thought into the design of it as i did, so not all me.)

It honest to god is the proudest moment of my life, I’m more proud of how many people have used it and relate to it and what it’s become than anything else I’ve achieved. I can’t actually put into words the sheer emotion it wrenches out my chest whenever I think about it. It can simultaneously make me smile and cry uncontrollably (today is very much the latter).

The opportunity to say thankyou to Adam really sort of…finalised it for me, that the demons in my head preying on me couldn’t get to me any more about it. It meant a fucking shit ton. The absolute sincerity of the quiet cuddle and conversation we had just settled my head, and I can be proud of it without having to argue with myself.

I’m writing this on the train home, dosed up on Nurofen and Lucozade and trying my hardest not to cry. I couldn’t honestly have asked for a better best friend to design with and listen, a better group of friends/gf (where’s my crew??) to support me and spam Twitter when necessary, and a fucking nicer gent than Adam to have used and been inspired by my art.

The last four and a half months haven’t been the easiest but this has fucking helped keep me going. Because it’s true. Both versions. We are not afraid. Choose love.

The story about how this Choose Love picture came to be.

Hello all,

I know loads of us on Twitter (and possibly on here) have changed our pictures to this wonderful image tonight. You should know that the idea for this picture was inspired by my brilliant friend @puplockandcoke, she met Adam at one of his shows last weekend and he liked what was on the back of her jacket.

So, instead of giving him the actual picture off her jacket, she made another by sending it to him and that’s how it ended up on the show tonight.

During tonight’s show, she was getting a bit upset that she hadn’t been credited for her idea. It looks like by the end of the show, they must’ve seen her tweets (and me retweeting them) because Adam remembered. I’ll admit, I got excited when she got mentioned!

I apologise to Lux if I’ve missed any details, I’m sure she’ll correct me.

I tried to give the patch to Adam at a show he was doing on the 10th but he refused to take it because he’s too fcking nice.

I did send him one, but I’m assuming he hasn’t got it yet because they never used it, although it was lovely and overwhelming to know that it inspired their own design, even if it did take me an hour and a half and multiple cheerleaders (mainly @dominatednomslave, @relatablepicturesofadamhills and @dartmoorsfinest ) spamming Leg, C4, Adam, Josh and Alex on Twitter and Facebook to get the credit shoutout at the end.

I’m not sure why they didn’t credit me til the very end - they had thousands of tweets to get through, Adam didn’t actually have my name, he hadn’t asked me if I was okay with the picture he took of it being on the show - there’s a million possible reasons. 

Not angry at the show or Adam for not giving credit where credit is due, just a little disappointed I kinda had to shame them into it in the end. Anyway - that’s not the point of the show. Or the post.

I did this patch after the Borough attacks on my birthday to let people know that we’re not afraid of them. If some limp-dicked lonely little cuntnuggets think they can stop us, then fucking think on. It’s not happening.
