Digital cameras are making a comeback, think early 2000s photo dumps you’d see on MySpace. But this time, it’s more self-aware. We actually care about the settings and how to tweak them to get that effortless, natural effect, like a photo pulled straight from 2001 that was never uploaded.
For this set, I used the vivid setting on my handycam, a look that came naturally with digital cameras back then.
Here’s how it turned out.
I used plushies and an arcade theme to match the saturated tones. The bold colors worked well, especially against the soft, grainy texture that’s typical of old cameras, like the one I’m using in the video.
For my next blog, I’m planning to play around with blurry effects instead.
By the way, is there an old camera you’ve always wanted to try?
How do we tell the sea that we are drowning on land?

You're just a personification
Of what I longed for
Now I'm left to fend for myself
embracing my femininity
both light and dark
to be with mother nature
to worship a goddess
oh to worship a goddess!
i love being a woman
it's a dead end anyway
"lane"
why can't she love me back
why can't she feel the same
at least let me yearn
freely
you don't have to feel the same thing
when i close my eyes
i see her smile
her lips
her plump cheeks
how unfortunate
"to kazuko"
you must not covet
so I've been told
you're triggered by the thrill of it
maybe it's love?
you know how the world works
but decided it wasn't for you
scared of commitment
or purely platonic
