I think the LOV is going to lose. They’re the antagonists, the literal villains. They’re going to die, or go to jail, or otherwise be beaten. But when that happens, I want it to be heartbreaking

If I have to see these people, people who were pushed down by society and decided to push back the only way they knew how, the only way they were ever told they could, be defeated or punished, I want it to be devastating

I want it to be explicitly clear that this is a fucking tragedy. That these people should never have been pushed this far, should never have been put in a situation where this was the only thing they could do to feel like they had any power

I don’t think we should forgive murderers just because they have tragic backstories. But we should respect that their stories are tragic

Because every LOV backstory we know could have been prevented if someone had bothered to care about them

And that is a tragedy
