OK BUT WHY??
his brain fog and memory loss is constant. its usually so bad he doesn't notice that he cant remember, so he kinda turns into a dumbass/sheep that does what he's told , whether he's being told to do sum by another proxy or Slenderman doesn't really matter, he'll do it.
every few days he realizes that its not only his head issues but also Slenderman tryna keep a hold on him, by forcing more brain fog because , yeah , he can control them all, but hes EXTRA easy to keep in line in a way that doesn't mean plain old mind control.
When he overdoses Slenderman just, brings him back. And the reason he DOES overdose is because when he gets brought back he gets a few mins of a clear normal mind where he can actually remember or learn , he likes to journal what he can remember or learn while he can. Slenderman probably realizes this pretty soon but he knows he still has everything under control.
so he lets it happen.
(there's no getting away from Slenderman)
(then again he's not tryna get away he just wants to remember)
