I have a brother and he ACTUALLY stinks. he smells like straight ASS with a side of SHIT.
Every time you say that to me, you mock my eternal suffering.

I think if you're going for a PhD is Gotham you have to get regular mental health checks because people here with a PhD tend to become some kind of villain. I'm not saying everyone with a PhD will become a villain, but just in case.
"Heheh... thanks! It's been nice here so far! The sky is pretty out in the windows and I get to meet a lot of different employees who love to work here for MIRA! There are a few bad eggs ever now and then, but nothing I couldn't handle! It's my job after all!"
"And uh... I hope you're doing well back there. Glad to hear more about the projects and research you've been doing doctor... more workers for us soon right? Happy and well-trained?"
Grape as usual sounds happy and even content after getting their new position as a security guard, but they seem also to be happier now that they get to talk to the doctor again after a long while not being able to. Their mind remains hazy in some form but a lot clearer as well, now that they get to act with purpose and do what is needed for MIRA's sake. The screening test that they've gone under thanks to Tan has been quite a success to make them compliant.
“A few, mostly just some protesters and whistleblowers. I do also have this new, colorful subject. Can’t mention much, but I’m excited to study such a… unique crewmate”
“Good to hear you’ve been holding up well. No more episodes I hope. Remember, if you do start to spiral, you can always fly back to me for help!”
They teased up slightly at the memory. Stupid thoughts…
why do ya talk as if yer from the 16th century? Ya think yer spearshake or whatever the dude's name was?
@rui-gushiken
//rui you idiot that's not how u say his name😢
I speak thus for sport! What, can thy modern, base tongue not apprehend me? Also... His name is Shakespeare..
[TRANSLATION: I talk like this for fun! What, can your modern, peasant language not understand me? Also.... his name is Shakespeare..]
"Oh right! Heheh... forgot to identify myself..."
They giggle, before they shortly state who they are more professionally.
"This is Officer Grape, calling from MIRA HQ. The Head of Security gave me your contact info for you to give us a status report on Polus. They said I can call you once every week after I'm done with my patrols."
They explained, sounding rather cheerful and happy especially after hearing Tan's voice on the line.
"Sooooo.... how's it going doctor? Mind giving me– er... us, a statement on how things are on your end? Heheh..."
“Things have been well. Although, I do need to get some supplies to renovate my lab. I need to build out a dedicated sector for holding test subjects, as I’ve been getting a sudden influx of ‘participants’ ”
Tan sighed, the tiredness in their voice being very clear
“I am glad to hear that you made it to Mira alright. I told you, you’d make them proud!”
Yes Mx Tan. I'm sorry if I am giving you any trouble Mx Tan. I'll stay and rest until given new instructions Mx Tan.
They sound like a soldier being scolded by their superior officer.
Tan couldn’t help but chuckled. Seems they wouldn’t need any screening
“No need to apologize dearie. Just rest up. Maybe even think about what books you want”
“And you can call what whatever you wish. No need to be all formal with me”
The researcher spoke gently, trying to get their patient to relax. It wasn’t good for them to be this tense
I see how sad Jon is right now and I don't know what to do...
