stars in your eyes

Hello my love

Are you thinking of me ?

Did you wake up at 1 am

with me on your mind?

Do you think of me in the daytime?

Do you dream of me at night?

Do you long to be beside me

Under the covers tonight?

Do you fantasize about us in the middle of the night?

Do you want to be mine forever

Or maybe just a night?

Do you need me?

Do you ache for me

In the darkness

Where there is no light?

Or is it only me

Who woke up with you on my mind?

I am a night owl

Surrounded by the dark

Living in it

Quiet and unseen

Unknown and unloved

I am the knight of darkness

Daylight annoys and burns

It hurts my eyes

And makes me long

For the night

At night I can find peace

Darkness is happiness

The dark side is my home

In a world of bright lights

And loud noises

I crave only relief

Darkness is my world

I am the dark knight

I can breathe

The harsh light of day

Hurts my eyes

Darkness calls to me

Comforts me

I need the moon and stars

The darkness to feel alive

My veins flow

Filled with darkness

The dark side

My world

candy treats and pumpkins too

jack o-lanterns smile

Good times never last

so enjoy when you can

and in between make a plan

to reflect on the good times

of the past

I was hypnotized and even though I didn't try I couldn't leave your eyes when you get close to me I think things I should it ought to be against the law to look that good

When you strut by in your cut off jeans cutest little philly I ever seen with your cowgirl boots and your Stetson hat it ought to be illegal to look like that

to turn your eyes my way

What must I do to get a smile from you

you pass by me like

I wasn't there

my heart is breaking

but you don't care

you walk away and

leave me alone

I try to hug you

and I'm in a war zone

I guess I'm old

and out of shape

I'm in a prison

and there's no escape

Memories run through

my mind

from time to time

some good

some bad

all flowing like wine

like the birds they fly by

and visit me

experiences I've had

that make me

Reflections

looking back at me

everyday asking are you where you want to be

reflections

lying to me

when I look in the mirror

its not me I see

I pose as someone else

live a life not meant to be

Going nowhere fast

where's the life that's meant for me

Am I all that I can be

is there any more to me

is that reflection really me

I step once again

into the unknown

the future

into the sunshine

moving ahead

seeing what the day holds

what can I accomplish today ?

the dreamer

part of this world

but visiting another

daydreaming of a day

when I may visit

the Stars I see

cruise by them

and leave behind

this misery

the planets and comets

calling to me

the constellations

they comfort me

seeing them there

reminds me

that I'm where

I should be
