PREVIOUSLY ON REPRIEVE…

the year is 2020. welcome to reprieve. strangers are appearing as if out of thin air, pulled from other dimensions. other worlds. other timelines. others are integrated as if they’ve always been a part of the population. except the city isn’t real, the newcomers say, it doesn’t exist. the ones who don’t question it are the concern: people determined in their belief.  how real is the city? after a year and a half of questions, of existence, the citizens of reprieve were finally on the same page. something was amiss in the lazy city, something not quite right… and then everything changed. one day, the lights just went out. reprieve had closed up shop.

PRESENT

the year is 2042. the scientists behind reprieve are tired, overworked, and need a break. have you ever tried to maintain a pocket universe? it’s a big job. in order to continue the study, it was decided that they needed to do things more efficiently. work smarter, not harder.  using the technology of their times, combined with a little magic, the scientists were able to develop a program that would allow users to upload their consciousness to a new reprieve - one managed by servers and moderators, not just magic! this would allow the scientists more time to focus on their tests and their results. reprieve  now  accepts  characters  from  any  fandom. how did they select their test subjects, you might ask? like before, subjects were selected and pulled from their respective universes and timelines to participate in the study. there was a choice - stay in the year 2042, segregated from everything you knew, or upload your consciousness for a chance to return home when the study reached completion. once you’d agreed, and signed in blood, you’d be uploaded to reprieve. 2021. the kicker? once you were in, you wouldn’t remember how you got there.  any returnees from the first study, however, could/can retain the information gained from the first version of the study… though any memories surrounding its end would be missing.

original characters can be reprieve uploads/people who believe they’ve lived there all along, or from specific fandoms. this version of the study is bigger and better; the city now doubles in size, with the former districts replaced by eight new districts.

there  are  a number  of  different  ways  you  could  have  approached  us  and  getting  hostile  is  the  #1  way  to  get  dismissed.  idk  why  you  thought  it  was  okay  to  be  rude  but  perhaps  you  should  take  your  own  advice  !!  i’ve  previously  changed  the  frequency  our  queue  posts  and  which  tags  we  use  so  it’s  very  possible  one  of  them  just  got  added  incorrectly  when  we  queued  them  again.  so  thanks  for  the  fyi  i  guess  even  though  i  don’t  appreciate  how  you  went  about  it.

Since you’re on discord, do you only do regular threads or do you do text/snapchat threads too?

we  do  a  mix  of  both.  i  haven’t  seen  any  snapchat  threads,  not  to  say  we  couldn’t  add  a  snapchat  channel  if  people  were  interested,  but  we  do  have  threads, texts,  and  a  mass  group  chat  for  every  resident  of  reprieve  that  we  call  reprieve  online.
