Dawn came shuffling back, a reasonable sized present in her arms. “Here! You said you broke your watch last time right?” Inside the package was one of the top of the line models for watches in the market right now. Certainly a luxury very few could afford. Also the set of keys to a new luxury car because she had accidentally damaged the hood the last time they met. It didn’t occur to her at all to just pay to repair the hood, instead of buying a new car altogether. 

the moment he took a peek inside, he processed the gift before slowly closing it back up. “dawn you really have too much money on your hands you know that? there is no way i can accept this.” umbra admitted. while he liked luxury, he felt just an underlying sense of guilt when it came to dawn spoiling him. she didn’t know any better truly- despite hjow often he and gira lectured her to do otherwise.
