VÄSTERHANINGE, SWEDEN, 2019:
«They called him «Horn-Per», everyone knew who he was. Pelle was the only one who had a black moped with a pentagram.»
Anders Ohlin sits on the roof of his old primary school in Västerhaninge, a half-hour journey south by local train from Stockholm Central. From here he sees the light yellow tenement with the apartment where him and his big brother Per Yngve «Pelle» Ohlin lived with their mother.
On hot summer days in the early 1980s, him and Pelle sat on this roof talking about girls, trying snus and smoking.
«It’s one of my fondest memories of him. I had him a little to myself. I looked up at Pelle. That’s the way it is with big brothers.»
The years in primary school were a great time, not to mention happy. Pelle had many friends, birthdays were celebrated with the whole class at home. But when he was about to start middle school, the close-knit gang split up, and Pelle ended up in a troubling class.
The older brother went from being cheerful and positive to being depressed.
«You can clearly see it in pictures from that time. He wasn’t happy.» says Anders.

1. Morbid tape - "December moon"
2. "Ohlin Metal" tape.
Ohlin Metal was the first "band" of Pelle before Morbid and Mayhem.
The owner bought it from one of his friend, which he got it from Daniel Ohlin.
According to the owner, on the tape there is Pelle talking in his room when he was young with a friend and also alone.
Talking about starting his band, screams, joking about foods and monsters, talks about breakfast and a war between humans and vampires.
He also says "De mysteriis Dom Satanas" and "Tjena alla monsterdiggare"
