i think i’ve finally realized what it means to be in love. it’s not seeing what anyone could see in anyone else. it’s seeing the person you’re in love with as exactly who they are but with the edges blurred soft and in a light glow. you may make some excuses for them, have a slightly off perception of them because you love them, but that’s okay. that’s just the nature of love. everything about them becomes worthy of the world. the way their mouth curves into a smile, the way they rest their head on their hand, that way their hair curls behind their ears. love is warm and soft and makes everything seen in the light it looks best in.
