Revien returns this year to kick off a Summer Arts Series at the Marsh. The nationally acclaimed chamber trio from Athens, Ga., will be joined by aerialists from Athens and Darien, Georgia for an intimate performance of music and aerial dance.

Happy New Year! We just posted these new videos from our Live at Ramsey Hall concert back in 2014 filmed on the campus of the University of Georgia.

We’re also gearing up for a very exciting 2015-2016 season with a completed album of all original songs. Recorded, engineered and mastered by multi-talented sound wizard Suny Lyons at Popheart Productions and edited by Brian Smith all here in Athens, GA, these new pieces will be streaming on our website in the very near future. For this very intimate performance deep in the marshes of Darien, GA, Revien will collaborate with aerial dancers, two of whom are especially close to their hearts, Julie Phillips, wife of Kyle Dawkins, and Natalie Smith, wife of Brian Smith. Julie and Natalie are dancers and teachers at Canopy Studio in Athens, Georgia, and will join Susan Murphy, Director of the Marsh Studio, with Andrea Fors, former Co-Director of Dair's Aerial Dance Company in Atlanta for a trapeze piece they've collaborated on together from afar. In addition, there will be solo performances on trapeze and aerial silks by the aerialists, performed all to the live music of the trio. The collaboration is a unique opportunity for both the dancers and musicians, a one-time only event taking place at 7:30p.m.Thursday, May 22 at the Marsh Studio in Darien.

This is Revien's first album, Live at Ramsey Hall, recorded on the University of Georgia campus. It's a selection of songs from our recent sets, including pieces by Grizzly Bear and Portishead, as well as works by Felix Mendelssohn, Gabriel Faure, and our own Phil Snyder.
