Tyler Ward.
This cover is one of my favorite covers lately. I am not the biggest Taylor Swift song, but this song has been sticking with me lately so when Tyler covered it I nearly went insane for it. I personally think that it is better than the original. It seems so much more animated coming from his voice. The key that he put it in makes it absolutely perfect. It reaches the highest point of his range that is comfortable and allows him to dip into the lower range. Then, he goes into falsetto and its absolutely flawless. Tyler tends to add a lot of animation and emotion into his songs and this one was one of the songs that he didn't have to work too hard on to make it playful but he definitely made it his own.
Check out his channel, his covers and if you like him try and catch him on tour. :)
He also is releasing an album soon. xx
Leroy Sanchez.
20 years old.
I stumbled across him a couple months ago with his cover of Beyonce's "Love On Top" and I fell in love with his voice. It's so unexpectedly faceted. This specific cover is not only my favorite cover that he has ever done, but is also my favorite cover of this song, and I love this song so I searched for a lot of other covers, but none surpassed this one.
The absolute simplicity of this cover is what makes it so perfect. It's just a man and a guitar. He goes into every single aspect of his voice. He adds his own personal touch to it with the scoffs and the way that he says his words. He's originally from Spain so his pronunciations of words is sometimes a bit strange, but he sounds sincere in this song. The perfectly controlled, shaken vibrato. The low, grumble that his voice has at times. His expertly controlled riffs that rival those of Beyonce are just effortless. Not to mention his frighteningly wide range... This boy is young and talented.
The first time I heard this.. I cried at 2:38. He is so talented, and I recommend all of his videos. Every last one of them. I am not even able to explain how talented he is. Please go and look for yourself. xx
Max Schneider.
19 years old.
This video and music was produced by Kurt Hugo Schneider. He is a very talented music producer, who will be doing even greater things in the future. This singer, however, is a young talent from New York. I love this song, and most things by the Script; however, I think I just may like this version just as much if not better than the Script's version.
When he drops into his lower, softer register(not necessarily his falsetto) he just gets this very gentle sound. His falsetto, however, is flawless and he adds the perfect amount of falsetto to this song giving it more emotion than the studio recording did. Every ounce of emotion that this song is supposed to emit is exhibited here; the naturally rocky core of his voice gives the song and the cover color. It's truly remarkable how much control he has over his voice. The transitions from falsetto to chest and from loud to soft is effortless for him.
I love this song, this cover and this boy. They are all amazing and please go and check out both Max Schneider's music on his channel as well as Kurt Hugo Schneider's.
Most of you know this song as the song that had a video with Rupert Grint in it.
It's "Lego House" by Ed Sheeran. First of all, I absolutely love him as an artist, because he is very talented and I personally just love his music.
This, however, is not Ed Sheeran. This is Lianne Binnington. She is 16 and from the UK. Her voice is more soulful than you would expect it. It's deep and has lots of color in it that are emphasized by her changed to and from falsetto. Her riffs and vibrato are beautifully controlled and effortlessly done, quickly achieving perfection. It's a similar arrangement to the original, but with a completely different tone.
I also, as a musician, admire her playing the song and singing at the same time. Its a difficult thing to perfect, and she did not falter throughout this video.
I love this song. I love Ed Sheeran. This girl is very very talented, and her covers as a whole are very solid. Go check out the rest of her stuff. :)
Ed Sheeran.
So, this isn't a cover, but the thing is that he is an amazing musician. You may know his song "Lego House" as the Rupert Grint music video, but he is so much more than that.
His voice has the strangest grit to it and it literally makes me go weak at the knees. Emotion floods his voice and fills the music. He knows how to control his voice and how to send shivers down the spine of any single human being. His vocal range itself is absolutely astounding.
He isn't that big in the states, but he's pretty big over in the UK. I love him, and he deserves to be big.
Please Enjoy.
J Rice and Daniel de Bourg
I hardly ever get chills whilst listening to cover. I got chills. This is amazing! Their voices work so well together! When they go into the falsetto parts of the song, its absolutely amazing! They are so gentle and so vulnerable. Both of their voices have a certain grit to them that makes them so unique, but within that as well is the fact that they have so much soul in their voices.
The remixing of the actual beat is beautiful as well. They added the acoustic guitar which made it so much more intimate and so much more personable. I literally couldn't stop swaying to the music the entire time I was listening to it. Then, when the actual beat comes in... I started rocking to it. Like... full on bopping my head. Its sad, but its a natural reaction with music for me. Then, when the "drop"[ I use that term lightly, because in the original its not much of a drop] comes it was so much more gentle. It was some crazy beat that a DJ made. It was so simple and so strong and you could still focus on the voices.
I love David Guetta. He's my favorite professional recording DJ, but I like this version much better. I love Usher. He is an awesome singer. But, this version is so much better. So much better. I never without a doubt say this, but it most definitely is. I honestly can never listen to the original again. I'm blown away. I have chills, I'm on the verge of tears, and I can't stop listening.

Go and listen to them both. Now. Subscribe. They're amazing!
Alex Goot and Chad Sugg
I've posted about Alex Goot before and I simply love his voice. It's so raw and he's so good at what he does. He's such an endearing guy. Chad has a more refined and lower voice which surprisingly works very well with Alex's voice.
Their adaptation of these two songs is very relaxing and clever and not forced at all like some mash-ups. Their harmonies are precise and lovely together. I can't be anything but relaxed when I listen to this and I love it so much. How they did "Use Somebody" was different from anything I've ever heard anyone do with that song. It's ridiculous.
Its just soothing... :)
Please check out their covers, because they're both so amazing!
Megan Nicole.
I am generally not a fan of Selena Gomez's music, but this song is very catchy and interesting and I truly enjoy it. For once I did like Selena's vocals on this song, but Megan Nicole's vocals far exceed those of Selena.
It's young and vibrant just as is should be for someone of her age. She doesn't over do the song with the different parts of her voice, but she mixes in both her chest voice, as well as head voice. She makes no mistakes in the changes from chest to head voice making the song all the more beautiful. She just has a truly lovely voice and I enjoy it.
All of her covers are pretty spot on and I'll probably post another one of hers soon enough, because I love her voice.
Alex Goot.
It Girl-Jason Derulo.
I absolutely love Alex Goot. He is so adorable and his voice is so stripped from all of the tricks and the effects that people nowadays put on their voices. He just has such a raw talent and such a raw sound. I love it, and I love his rendition of this song, because its more of a happy sounding song as opposed to the sensual Jason Derulo version.
I am a fan of the original, but this cover surpasses it by far!
Go look at Alex's music, he's amazing!
Rita Castagna.
This girl has a very interesting voice. It's slightly raspy, soulful and has that strange Ingrid Michaelson-vowel-pronunciation kinda thing going on. I honestly don't understand her voice, but I love it. She takes this song on full force. She isn't afraid to go for the high notes even if they are more than what other people would consider too much of a risk. Well, she goes for it and she nails it. She does this song so well, and she puts her own mellow vibe on the song. She turned a song that was arranged for 5 guys and made it sound amazing as one girl. She did this very well, and after looking through about 30 covers of this particular song I concluded that hers was the best.
I am a fan of One Direction, and I love this song done by them. I don't think that she did better than the boys, but I am a little bias because I most definitely am a Directioner--hardcore.
You should check out Rita's channel and not only her channel but look up One Direction. I promise you won't be disappointed in either one. :)
Ryan Beatty.
This kid is such a stud. He's 16 and his voice is so wonderful. I honestly can't even describe it... It's soulful but pure and strong and just so beautiful. He knows how to control his voice for the most part and he just has such a beautiful tone to his voice.
I know that I've already posted the original of this, but I am reviewing covers mostly and I just fell in love with this cover so.. :)
This is quite possibly one of my favorite songs on the face of the planet and I have heard a lot of covers and I believe that he definitely does this song justice. He adds his own spin to it with the different texture of his voice. His rendition isn't perfect but his confidence and his smoothness throughout the song just add to his amazing voice.
He has loads of other songs on his youtube that are absolutely amazing as well, so you should check him out. :)
Alexa Falk.
I'm obsessed with her music.
Her voice is absolutely stunning. This song is so meaningful to so many people. I've already raved about her and her sister on the blog before. Look below in order to find another video or stalk them on youtube. ;)
Her music has so much meaning. not only with the lyrics, but the way that she sings. I love her voice, music, lyrics, and personality. I just recommend her music or her sister and her music. It's all beautiful and full of talent, so please listen.
I won't promote someone on here unless I truly appreciate their music, and I'm pretty picky.
Alexa Falk.
Comme des Enfants(Like the Children)-Coeur de Pirates (Pirate Heart)
This is a french band that I absolutely love. I'm in French at my school and my teacher showed it to us. I love this song. It's gentle and folky. It reminds me of a very more subtle Mumford and Sons vibe. Her voice is absolutely beautiful. It's gentle and sweet and innocent which makes this song so much better, because its about innocence and love. It's just a sweet song that relaxes me, personally. It calms me down. :)
Also.. the video is quite possibly the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I realize that this isn't a cover, but I really really enjoy this song, and it's too good to let it go unnoticed by my small following. :)
Translation:
So you see as everything gets mixed up From your heart to your lips, I become a headache (problem) Your laugh defies me to let you go Before losing hold and abandoning Because I would never ask you for that much You already treat me like a big child And we have nothing left to lose Except our lives, which we have set aside
And he still loves me, and me I love you a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more
That’s enough of this splitting in halves It’s harder to do, otherwise Because without laughter it’s easier to dream Of what we can never again touch We take each others hands, like children The happiness on our lips, a bit naively And we walk together with a determined step While our heads yell at us to stop everything
He still loves me, and you love me a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more And despite this, he still loves me, and me I love you a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more
INTERLUDE MUSICALE
Again, me I love you a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more Despite this, he still loves me, and me I love you a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more But he still loves me, and me I love you a little more
Megan and Liz.
Two absolutely stunning voices. They both have such wonderful control of their voices. The harmonies are spot on and absolutely angelic. It's no Beyonce, but their take on the song as a more gentle rendition works soo well. I absolutely love this song, and their rendition as well. Also.. these girls have such awesome chemistry and they're so adorable. So, they make this work to their advantage as well as making it match their sound.
They are absolutely amazing together.
Check them out.
Christina Grimmie and Tyler Ward.
Tyler's videos are always amazing, and they are always very well done.
I personally love this song in general. Lil Wayne did this song well, but this cover is absolutely fantastic. Tyler made a slow rap song into a rock ballad for lack of a better term. The harmonies between the two are flawless and they are powerful and still keep the "pretty" aspect of Christina's voice. The pairing of voices for this SPECIFIC song is very unconventional, but it worked so well. I have been listening to this video a lot lately.
I love both of these artists. Go check out Tyler's channel, he's absolutely amazing and covers practically EVERYTHING.
And go and check out Christina Grimmie's channel on youtube as well. She has an album out, actually. Go buy that on iTunes.
They're both so amazing, so go and support their music. :)
Scott James.
16. Southern California.
This song is absolutely amazing, and I am into this kind of music so I do enjoy the song as a whole. Some people don't like or appreciate this type of music, and I understand that, but even so the actual lyrics are creative and smart. The lyrics were written by him if I am not mistaken. I stumbled across this video today, and it was put up on youtube today, so I feel quite accomplished. The guitar is absolutely amazing, and is all actually played by 16 year old Scott James. He is talented, young, fresh, and a nice person. I have had the pleasure to know him personally, so I am slightly pushing this. I am not his best friend, but I do know him and went to school with him last year. He's a wonderful person, who is once again very talented.
Her performs in the Ventura County area quite often. In fact, I just saw him perform last night at Oaks Christian's Family Fair. It was a wonderful show, and he lacks no luster live. :)
Please check out more of his stuff.
