@Rexlassus: Turnabout Road Trip (Event)

âNoctis, did you see the news?!â Phoenix shouts as he enters their shared home, a mix of excitement and fear filling his body. Itâd have been hard for the other not to have heard of it, but hey.
âThereâs a problem in the city that can only be solved by us collecting a bunch of Fragments. But thereâs also a lot of angry people walking around, so I get if you donât wanna come. I know that Iâll try to assure us a good amount of money!â
He blinked the moment Caster rushed into the room asking if heâd seen the news. Well, he really hadnât. But that wasnât necessarily the point, he supposed. The Servant seemed rather flustered by the news but when he started to speak, Noctis rose up from his spot, putting down the book heâd happened to be reading.
âThat so? Well, Caster, I guess weâve got some work to do, huh?â He said, brushing himself off briefly before moving over to the Servant and smiling. âWhere should we even start? The cityâs pretty big, after all.â

   â  yeah, same here.  â  ann almost remarks how this isnât really new game, given that sheâs seen men like kamoshida who consider people slaves and men like kaneshiro who consider people as money banks. but perhaps thatâs better left unsaid; that would open a whole slew of questions that ann would prefer not to deal with right now, especially since she doesnât know if divulging information about the phantom thieves would even be okay.  â  i guess people will always want to look down on people. makes them feel stronger or something. i think itâs stupid.  â
   she glances towards him as he grimaces at his own words, though it only causes her amusement rather than any social awkwardness.  â  donât worry, i understand. i feel the same! i was just thinking itâd be nice to talk to someone too.  â  not quite accurateâshe really hopes that she could converse with her friends. but  despite her earlier grievances about having to talk to him, he seems pretty cool for the time being. so the sentiment ends up being genuine enoughâitâs as genuine as her smile, at least.
   â  i guess youâre right. i wish i could ignore it, but if i did, then iâd be no better than them.  â  ann nods along with his words, finding herself agreeing along with him. itâs a bit weird that a stranger has to remind her of this, but sometimes, itâs hard to recall these types of things by yourself! or at least, she likes to tell herself thatâitâs a reason why she finds company much better than being by oneâs self.   â  though i have to wonder, what exactly is it that makes people think that way in the first place? is it social status? money? if all humans were meant to be born equal, why do we have all these things that separate people?  â
âNever really understood it, personally. Looking down on others. The only people looking down should be the ones judging those who deserve to be judged.â
He hadnât technically looked down on anyone in his life...but there were times when he had felt so angry. So overcome with emotion that he just couldnât help himself. He looked down on those who looked down on others. That treated people unfairly. He was a future king, after all, he had to have something of a judgmental eye on those that would cast down society for their own twisted ideals.
He gave her a smile and a nod as she reassured him. He supposed not everyone had to look at him oddly when he was a bit awkward. The prince usually had his friends around to bounce off of in conversation, he wasnât all that great at starting it himself.
âThatâs a good question. One I wish I knew the answer to. Then again... I guess I canât really talk much.â He muttered. He was royalty, after all. It was only natural that he feel as though heâd been born above everyone else. But he didnât necessarily want to go around, spilling the beans about him being royalty. He eyed her for a moment before sighing heavily, running his fingers through his hair. âConsidering Iâm royalty where I come from, I donât even understand it myself. Iâd...rather just everyone got along. Fightingâs pretty tiresome but someoneâs always lookinâ to start something.â He said, tilting his head. A part of him expected her to give him an incredulous look upon saying he was royalty. Or for her not to believe him at all. But thatâd suit him just fine.
casterofturnabout:
Phoenix takes a good look again at the other. He seems a bit surprised at seeing him, which Phoenix canât blame him for at all. Heâd have probably screamed in panic were they in opposite positions.
âNoctis⌠Itâs a cool sounding name.â And certainly not what youâd call a kid in the US. It sounds like one of those pompous European names. Perhaps Athena could identify what country heâs probably from.
âWell then, I guess weâre under some sort of âI need you and you need me to surviveâ arrangement, huh? I hope that weâll do fine, Noctis!â He offers a hand to the other so they shake and seal the contract. âOh, and some medicine would be lovely. Damn, and me thinking that school had given me the worst info dumps of my life.â
âUh, thanks.â Heâd never really thought of his name as a âcool-soundingâ name but then again...did anyone think their name sounded cool? Well, he was sure there were some people out there. Heâd never really thought about it, personally.
âYeah, I guess so. Iâm sure weâll do great, Caster. Youâve got no reason to worry.â He didnât look like much of a fighter but that was fine. What his servant may have lacked in fighting capabilities he would try to make up for. Then again, heâd heard that servants were a whole other ball game, far stronger than normal humans. So maybe heâd have nothing to worry about anyway. If anything, Noctis knew that looks could be deceiving.
âRight. Iâll go take a look in the..bathroom. Thatâs where people usually keep medicine, right?â He wasnât entirely sure. Workers in the castle usually brought him medicine when he wasnât feeling well. He didnât typically get it himself despite being more than willing and able to. He wandered into the bathroom, reading the labels on some bottles and finding one that said something about taking care of migraines. That sounded about right. Walking out, he handed the bottle over. âSo, Caster. Whatâre you capable of? Or...do you not wanna share that either?â He asked, raising a brow slightly. Itâd be fine otherwise...but they wouldnât get very far as a pair if he couldnât even share that much. âOr if you want, you could ask me some questions, I guess.â

casterofturnabout:
At first, there was darkness. Then, light was brought forth. Or rather, not exactly light. Rather⌠information. Information about this world, the system running it, centuries and millennia of history from this and other worlds.
(I wonder if Iâd have known all of this had I paid attention to history and geography classes back at schoolâŚ)
And then, information about Servants⌠and Masters. He needed a Master, didnât he? That was the one thought that he could discern in the middle of the darkness that his mind is once again flooded at.
Some more time passes, and then⌠a door. A single door in the middle of nothingness. This could sound fishy anywhere and anytime else. However, if thereâs an advantage to having your mind temporarily reduced to a state of pure primordial thoughts, itâs that you donât really question when you choose to open a door offered to youâŚ
Before Noctis, a peculiar phenomenon happens. The badge he was playing just a moment ago suddenly glows and starts emitting mana of its own, all while a magic circle appears under it. Itâd be wise if he stepped back as the summoning happens. The blue light grows more and more, then starts taking a human shape. When the light finally dimsâŚ
Phoenix Wright saw himself before his new Master.
âUgh, my headâŚâ It was throbbing. Would you expect anything else, when millennia worth of information are jammed in your brain in a matter of seconds? He blinks some, getting used to the roomâs lighting, then he raises his eyes, a curious pair of brown and blue, towards the young man before him.
âAaaaaahâŚâ Oh, right, he can feel it. This must be the person that his mind was seeking just a minute ago. He fixes his posture, takes the dust off his suit and adjusts his tie. âY-Youâre my Master, right? Pleasure to meet you. Nameâs Pho- wait, is it safe telling my name to my Master? That thing did say that itâs no good letting possible enemies know it, but⌠Ah, sorry, Iâm still new to this whole thing.â
(And confused as heck.) âI-Iâm a Caster. Yeah, Iâll start with that. Nice to meet you, MrâŚ?â He extends a hand for Noctis to shake.
His head inclined when he found that he was no longer alone in the room. He took a step back as that magic circle formed on the floor, nearly falling backwards onto his rear but luckily catching himself in the process. The princeâs hand instinctively reached out, taking hold of a weapon and pulling it forward, holding the sword out before him as he fixed his gaze on the circle. Only for...a man in a suit to come forward.
As the other complained about a headache, Noctis couldnât help but raise a brow. With a flick of the wrist, the sword heâd summoned dissipated into nothing, returning to the invisible Armiger floating around him. âUh...you really donât have to call me that. But yeah, thatâs probably me.â He said softly, pulling one of his gloves off to reveal the command seal on the back of his hand, showing it off before pulling his glove back on.
Noctis shrugged softly as the other seemed to struggle with whether or not to tell his name. That was ultimately up to him. âCaster, it is. You can tell me your real name when you feel comfortable with it, I guess. Iâm Noctis Lucis Caelum. Just call me Noctis. None of that Master business. Uh...your head alright? Thereâs probably some medicine in here somewhere you can take...â
kyokasuru:
   There were a lot of things to consider in her current situationâ allies, methods, weapons, strategyâ none of which she cared to do on an empty stomach. Of course itâs just her luck that she gets distracted looking at the pretty boy nodding off at one of the few tables that isnât occupied or not yet cleared. Itâs even more like her luck that he wakes up just in time to catch her staring, timed with an ill-fated growl of her stomach.      Boy Iâd like to take a bite out of him instead, Riruka thinks idly, freezing up for a moment at the sound of his voice. Gripping her tray a little tighter and then making an sudden, sharp turn in his direction, she settles herself down across from him, dropping her tray and then leaning back in her chair.      âNothing,â she says loftily, eyes closed just so she doesnât fluster herself by looking at him too hard. âThough if you drooled Iâm sure you got it before I got a good look.âÂ
     One leg crossing over the other, she picks up her fork and gestures at him idly, lifting a curious brow.      âIf youâre that tired, shouldnât you, I dunno, get home or something instead?âÂ
âAh...well. Thatâs a relief at least.â Itâd be pretty embarrassing for a prince to be drooling in his sleep in front of people. Really, heâd never really thought about it. He just assumed that if he was in danger, his servant might instantly know.
Then again, he wasnât exactly sure what his servant was capable of so there was that, too. Â Furrowing his brow, Noctis stretched his back slowly and gave a low groan of a sound, running fingers back through messy raven hair before sinking back into his seat lazily, eyes slowly falling to the girl who he was now talking to.
âYou...make a good point. Guess I should probably be more careful given the situation. Man...really wish Caster was around.â He muttered dully, glancing at the line for food. He supposed it wasnât necessarily a good task for a servant...waiting in line to get food and whatnot. But he had a feeling the Caster wouldnât particularly mind, especially if he was going to get food too. Damn. What a predicament.
âUh, hey. How long did you have to wait in line for that?â
panthermask:
   annâs been sitting on the bench for a while now, back against the frame as her head is lolled backwards. eyes stare blankly ahead, blinking only on occasion, in a dead gaze. though many would be thrilled to experience new sights like this, ann finds the circumstances too troubling to fully grasp. humanityâs survival, a foretold doom, having a new spirit to fight withâitâs too much for her to think about, but with little distraction like her friends or any of her normal life, itâs all she can think about. so the best she can do is just try to block some of it outâand itâs during her attempt that someone speaks to her. she almost considers not responding, but sheâs way too nice for that; so she just sighs and replies.
   â  tell me about it. calling it masters and servantsâit totally weirds me out. like, whose ego trip started that?  â  it kind of reminds her of those girls working in cafes that are forced to call customers master, purely to pat their ego about the subservience of others. it just leaves a bad taste in her mouth, especially since the phantom thieves try to change that particular mindset. yet here they are, back at square 0, and she canât even find her friends. hereâs to round 2, she guesses.
   â  iâm ann, by the way. thanks for talking to me.  â  itâs only then that ann raises her head and turns towards him, a small but friendly grin on her face as she introduces herself. awkwardness aside, itâs at least nice to know that people still attempt conversationâitâs a nice distraction from the sudden pressure and loneliness placed upon her.   â  itâs good to know that iâm not the only one feeling this wayâabout the whole master-servant thing. everyone else seems to just go with it; iâm kind of jealous.  â
âBeats me. And Iâm used to dealinâ with egos. This is a whole new game.â He said simply, bringing a hand up to scratch his cheek lightly. He was used to being able to be somewhat open with his friends. He didnât know anyone here so, naturally, he didnât particularly like starting up small talk. If there was a topic at hand, he would know what to say or do. At least he hadnât used something along the lines of âweird weather weâre havingâ or something like that. Wouldâve been way worse.
âOh! Uh...Noctis. Itâs no biggie. Kinda wanted someone to talk to anyway.â He paused briefly, âNot for...anything personal or something. Just...the company, I guess.â He said, grimacing a bit at his own words. That was probably pretty obvious. Probably didnât need to say that. It was fine. He was thankful for the change back over to the original conversation though.
âMm. Iâm not really a fan of having âservantsâ or whatever. Especially not calling them that or treating âem like they are or something.â He muttered, rubbing his fingers over his jaw and down across his neck with a furrowed brow. Granted, heâd had people waiting on him hand and foot but heâd never really wanted to call them servants or anything. It had somehow felt wrong to him. They were people too. So why did they have to be treated lower than himself or anything? âIâm not jealous of those people at all. I say just treat the so-called Servants with respect and youâll be fine. At least an overall better person than the people who just accept it, anyway.â
@kyokasuru
Really, it was a  lot to take in. He was even on the cusp of falling asleep in the middle of a public place. He didnât particularly care though. He was tired and it wasnât like he was too worried about being attacked. There was no empire here. No monsters that he knew of. Though he had seen some weird creatures wandering around before. Here he was, sitting at a cafe and nearly nodding off with his palm pressed against the side of his face.
He caught himself, however, before he closed his eyes completely, shaking his head and furrowing his brow with a slight frown. Not only had the venture here taken its toll on him but he was still feeling the effects from his journey at home. He blinked, rubbing his eyes slowly and scowling softly. âHnn...â His gaze soon found a girl, looking right at him. âAh...mm...somethinâ on my face?â He asked curiously, swiping his fingers over his mouth to make sure he hadnât drooled a little or something.
iâm feelinâ it so
like this for a starter. capping at 2 again.
@panthermask
Heâd been trying to grasp this whole situation for the past few hours. The fact that he still felt like he was dreaming was of little comfort to the fact that he didnât have any of his friends. Forced to come into a âServant and Masterâ relationship of sorts with some man he didnât know...wasnât his idea of a good time. He would have much rather just been with his friends. As he ventured out into the new city, he had a hard time finding anything that would catch his interest for long.
So he finally decided to take a break. Settling onto a bench, he glanced at the girl who was sitting close to him. Small talk. He could do that. Right? His brow furrowed slightly and lips drew into a thin line for a moment. Slowly, he tilted his head toward her, making a note of the Command Seals on her hand. His were hidden under one of his gloves.
âSo...â He started, giving a slight sigh. Solid start. âThis Master-Servant business. Kinda weird, huh?â
@casterofturnabout
All of this was a little hard to process.
His gaze shifted around the room, eyes falling upon a cube...and a weird badge. He wasnât sure what that was supposed to mean. Noctis let out a quiet sigh, exhaling and shaking his head a bit. He reached out with his mana, feeling the weapons around him, ready to be called upon if necessary. But that wasnât exactly a concern for him right now. It was a small comfort to him to know that they were there.
Slowly, the prince approached the cube, extending a hand, fingerless gloves stretching slightly as fingertips brushed across one corner of it. He felt a slight prick but it didnât draw blood. It was more like an inward thing. It  took some of his mana? Weird.
âWell... guess whatever happens from this point on just... happens.â He said softly, picking up the badge and turning it over in his hand curiously. Just what was this thing supposed to signify anyway?
(Heya! Hope that this is gonna be a good partnership :D)
âWeâre gonna be pretty great.â
letâs get this nerd going too even tho i havenât finished his icons just yet.
like for a starter. capping at 2.
