7 years ago we started with a group of hungry, extremely talented like minded artists, and created something that would change the way people viewed the Austin art community forever. Over those seven years, more and more artists have came together to create their own groups, collectives, families and have done some huge things in this city. But, If we are being honest... at first it was hard to watch artists come and go and see new factions pop up. As time went on we realized, that’s what it’s all about! The more groups of artists coming together, the bigger and stronger the community gets!! We realized our role in this community was not to be the largest collective or Austin’s only art scene forever. It’s to work with artists and help them get to a place in their art career to where they don’t need us anymore. So, that being said, thank you to every artist we have worked with in the past seven years as well as the current artists we are working with now! We will never forget the original crew that helped start this whole movement and take pride in being able to share some magical memories with you all! Which brings us to this..... • • Please welcome the new 2020 Spratx|Collective!!! @coslawson @melaniefarris.art @abeltodesign @reymaratx @daaru_art @_.paste @goodluckbuddha This crew will dedicate the next year to actively engaging Austin’s Creative culture through creating events that will include any Austin artist that wants to be a part of something bigger as well as find themselves involved in some huge art projects along the way! We are so proud to share these artists with you Austin and hope you are ready for them to help continue to support an already amazing community of artists. • • There is 7 for now because that’s how many started this whole thing 7 years ago. But that number will change throughout the year and the first time you could potentially join the collective will be January 22nd.
