“This wasn’t the job I thought I would be doing.” ~Red
“Me neither, yet here we are.” He chuckled, stretching his arms above his head before taking a broom in one hand and handing Red another. “C’mon. The training room’s dusty and with everyone sweating in there and everything, it’s probably due for a good clean. We can train a bit afterwards.” He offered with a bright smile.
He could feel eyes on him, but he ignored them. “Your choice to believe it or not, but it really isn’t anything to talk about.”
His arms shifted slightly around her frame, opening his eyes. “My mind just likes to wander sometimes.”
Red’s gaze shifted to one side.
“Welp, seems like I’m losing my touch” she said at that, lightly pressuring his chest to move away from the embrace.
“Time to give you your personal space back then” she added after.
He chuckled lightly, before melting into a sigh. He nodded, the pressure on his chest giving him enough of an indication that enough was enough.
Jackie pulled back, arms dropping smoothly and gently back to his sides. His hands quickly found place on his hips again as his shoulders relaxed.
“Are you feeling a bit better?” He asked quietly, tone hopeful.
