Hypericum androsaemum

This shrubby little plant (if I've identified it correctly) seems to be known by many different names. To me the most fitting is 'Sweet Amber' with those pretty flowers. What a shame she is considered an invasive weed.

Echium Candicans

Echiums hold very fond memories for me of my childhood. Every Spring through to Summer in our Dunedin garden hundreds of giant echium flowers would put on their amazing show. Some would utterly dwarf me. It's only looking back now that I truly appreciate their wonder and how special my little world really was.
