Rhodeyfest has officially ended!

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated, there was some really great stuff this year! As always, there will probably be some late posts happening over the course of the next few days, so keep an eye out for any stragglers in the tags! Just a couple of housekeeping notes:

Things don’t always get neatly wrapped up in a bow. I wish they did. But instead of men die and other men live and I am none the wiser, Dad. Is that the point? That we don’t know anything? You never prepared me for this. But there’s no way to prepare for this, is there? I have to stand by my principles. I have to sacrifice. I have to help people. And you always told me to do what was right and to make decisions for myself..so what do I do with this? After he’s dead? And after this comes out? All the evil they have done finally leaks online? No. No sacrifice. I’ll do whatever is right. Tonight, it means coming home.

He’s no stranger to the concept of one-night stands, has—due to his demanding career—prefered casual relationships with no strings attached himself for most of his adult life, so he’s admittedly surprised when Bucky texts him a couple of days after their encounter. Surprised, but not averse to an eventual repeat performance.

Or; five times Rhodey is completely oblivious to how serious Bucky is about them, and the one time the second most emotionally stunted person in Avengers Tower talks some sense into him.
