What should we do first, Bradshaw? Should I tell you about myself or something?
Yes, lets start there. I will be out of town for a while, not sure how long, but I will get back in touch when I return.

Where Did the Party Go? || Rhys & Madden
Madden easily understood, the chance passed onto him while he was on death row as well-though that wasn’t information he openly indulged with others. Of course he comprehended the trust issues, but also felt as if the problem ran down a two way street, empowering others along with threatening with taking the power away…there were other ways to manipulate the trust of those that were weaker minded, that was something Madden personally knew. “I can’t say I had enough interaction with my handler to say if I trusted him implicitly." Madden stated simply, not having any ill feelings towards Jacob Bennett, “I would have liked to think we had an understanding though, and he was there for…at least some of my graduating mission, but he got called away so I ended up closing it up on my own." Silently, he was glad that Bennett had not been there to see his recruit nearly falter at the act of having to needlessly kill two kids. Everything else that followed Rhys’ miniature speech rang true however, having seen many different reactions between recruits and their handlers—after all…Jacob had been one to wrap his hand around Maya’s throat, leaving a nice hand print bruise along her neck. That wasn’t exactly something Madden would consider effective, but it wasn’t his problem. “Don’t joke around like that." Madden returned towards the handler’s statement. “You would have only wanted me as a recruit so I could make you look good." It was a joke, simply overplaying the younger agent’s arrogance, and he laughed it off to prove the point.
"If I step out these doors I am going to end up getting distracted by something out there in the ‘real world’. I haven’t really taken too much time to explore the city just yet." Madden warned the handler, a hint towards delivery being the optimal choice. As Rhys finished ordering, the agent finished what was left of his drink as his mind counted the different types of alcohol he could acquire in a short amount of time, always having a taste for the more expensive hard liquors anyway. “If you didn’t, while I’m being honest, I would probably be going crazy right now. I think I have gone through the library right down the street, and that is it." he laughed, shaking his head. “Only so many times I can find something I haven’t already read…" Pouring himself another glass to raise in an informal toast of sorts, Madden gave a nod towards the congratulations before leaning back into the chair.
"Kid, I would've made you look good." Rhys shook his head and laughed. "It's too bad your handler was only there for a part of the mission, but the fact you were able to carry it out on your own for the most part, really speaks to your abilities. Don't take this the wrong way, but I see a lot of myself in you. Hopefully, you won't make the same mistakes I made that led to....well, my ending up here." Rhys looked away and rubbed his neck. He was on the verge of revealing too much about himself and didn't want that to happen.
"I focused too much on being well-rounded, knowing a lot of everything. I burned out, and at the same time because I was "good" in everything...I wasn't exceptional in anything. I was fantastic in the classroom, but when I was in the real world where rules aren't as set in stone, and people aren't as predictable as your trainers...or are just fucking out of their minds...things get tricky, to say the least. That being said, I have full faith in you. Since your handler wasn't around much, here's my number. Always call your handler first, but if you need someone and he doesn't answer, call me. I don't want to step on any toes." Rhys scribbled his number on a piece of paper with his name. "Or if you just need a drinking buddy, or wingman...but don't let things get out of hand." He laughed.
"Well, maybe we should go take a drive after we eat. One thing that is paramount when being out on your own is knowing your area like the back of your hand. Where to find a crowd to disappear in or to use so your contact doesn't make a scene, all the backroads for a quick escape, the main roads, hang outs, and known locations to seem like a local...or all the tourist attractions if you need to look like an outsider. I encourage getting lost. This way you're forced to find your way through an unfamiliar area and you'll remember that part of town next time you end up there."
Right. Issac it is.
E lei, signor Bradshaw? What do you prefer to be called?
Bradshaw is fine.
Quando sono venuto in America, mio zia mi ha chiamato come tali perché a lei non piaceva mio nome di nascita. E ‘attaccato, e molti americani hanno difficoltà a dire di mio nome correttamente in ogni caso.
Right. Issac it is.
Mi dispiace. So you are my insegnante. I am Ambrogio DeMontario. Please, call me Isaac.
Yes I am. Isaac? c'è un motivo?
Congratulations, Sofia Delacroix! I am proud to announce that you have been activated for your first mission. You are asked to do this job individually, only accompanied by your handler, Rhys Bradshaw, who might assist you when questions arise but will not help you getting the job done.
Your target is Sergei Romanov [Age: 53], one of the heads of a human trafficking organization. Our Techs located him in Paris, having provided the exact coordinations to finally capture him. You are ordered to capture him and interrogate him for certain information needed to bring down the cartel he is leading. Once you got said information you are to kill him and get rid of his body the way you have learned it in preparation to become a cleaner.
The mission will take place during the time frame between the 27th-29th of June. Further instructions will be given to you in time, until then please direct any questions to your handler who will accompany and supervise you throughout this mission.

I’ll probably be dead soon, so I don’t see why it matters? But I don’t really know anything about shows anyways I wasn’t allowed to watch as a child and — I really never got the chance to when I ran away.
What do you mean you'll be dead soon? No recruit of mine dies on my watch.

Sorry Sofia, I divulge very little about me to anyone. But, I will say that this show is currently in it's 6th season I believe.

Is it a girly show? Because there isn’t a need to be embarrassed about it.
Well, I'm not sure if people would consider it girly or not.

If I told you, I'd have to kill you.

Disguise without a Disguise || Sofia + Rhys
Sofia padded down the hall, her mind buzzing for what this new handler would have in store for her. Seeing as her old one had only punished her by running her half to death (though that was mostly her own fault for being stubborn), the raven haired girl did not expect anything less from the man that looked as if he was her brother. With a shrug and a deep intake of breath, the recruit pushed into the correct room, quickly spotting him in a chair on the other side before letting the door fall closed behind her jumping at the loud click that sounded. “I love chocolate.” She admitted quickly, letting a blush paint her cheeks — feeling embarrassed for being so forward already. With this handler it was different, he wasn’t an ass that looked at her as if she were only dirt under his feet. He looked at her as if she were a student and he a teacher —a level of respect she had not had before him.
“So the chocolate is going to be anything I want it to be?” She canted her head to the side, taking a timid step back as he approached her — scared that he would strike out at her in some cruel manner as she did all male authority figures. “Oh — I don’t know what those are.” She whispered, retreating another step feeling herself become more confused as her brain just wasn’t up to regular speed just yet. “Um, I thought I was getting the chocolate? And — can you show me what you are wanting me to do so I don’t do it wrong? I can do it after you show me what to do?”
Rhys smiled, something that was rare for him. "Well, the chocolate will be for each individual exercise that I train you in. Right now, I want you to persuade me into agreeing with the reward at the end that you'll try to get, so basically, you have to convince me twice. For example, should you chose to get fifty dollars, a shot of tequila, a new book, whatever you want, with in reason...though I don't think the tequila would be allowed, I want you to convince me to let it be your prize. Then after I train you in this art, you have to convince me to give it to you. I'm just adding this extra starter step to see what I'm working with. Now, first, I suppose I should teach you some theory behind this."
He paced back over to the desk and sat on it. "First and foremost is ethos. This one is all about authority and credibility. You are listening to me and believing what I say because I am your handler, a position of power, or at the very least, your direct superior. If you were in a hospital, anyone wearing scrubs and-or a white coat could tell you that your hypothalamus is bruised and you'd nod in agreement...unless you've taken medical classes and know the hypothalamus is deep inside your brain. Using jargon, or technical terms, as well as looking the part will give you at the very least 50 to 60 percent higher chances of persuading someone. This obviously means you'll have to do some research on your target, though generally if you have a fixed cover ID and this isn't just a one off for information, you'll know the sorts of things your cover would know. The other two are pretty simple. Pathos, especially. Have you ever seen that Humane Society commercial where they show the beaten and sick puppies and play that sappy Sarah McLaughlin song while she explains how you can sign up to donate your money? That is textbook pathos, or emotional appeal. If your target that you require money from you could try to swing it saying you have a sick younger sibling...you don't look old enough for a kid, and depending on the kind of person they are, they might give it to you." He leaned forward.
"Now, I personally think Logos is the toughest. Logic. With this one, you not only have to really know your subject but be convincing as hell...which is the whole point anyway. But, here, it's best to use examples and you can even site other credible examples. Think of this as writing a thesis for school, Here is my argument, here are my examples, and I'm going to explain the hell out of them. And get specific too. This ties in well with the other two parts. You can leave out the emotional appeal, but you have got to have logic and credibility on your side. You might not have to dress like a mechanic, but if you know the lingo and how to demonstrate...you have logos and ethos on your side. Toss in how the safety of the vehicle is paramount to the safety of the two month old that will be riding in it, and you can lie your ass off about what needs to be done to that car. Some situations, like that one, women are easier to trick. Spend time around politicians, mechanics, and car salesmen and you'll learn your way around a persuasive argument faster than you can blink." He stood up. "Ready to try one? Just remember. Be credible, use logic, toss emotion in if appropriate, but above all else, if you don't believe your story...no one else will."
