“Hey guys, this is Addison.”

The words echoed in (Y/N)’s mind over and over. The sentence might’ve been simple, but the way his arm was wrapped around her waist, the way he smiled at her like she was the universe, it all made the girl realize it. Stan was in love with a person that wasn’t her.

“(Y/N)? Hello? Earth to (Y/N)?” Eddie called, causing everyone to switch their gaze from Addison to their best friend. “Are you alright?”

“Shit, I…” The girl trailed off, blinking back tears that suddenly formed. “I gotta go. B-Bye.” And with that she was off, ditching her bike and sprinting back to the comfort of her house.

Without a greeting to her mother, (Y/N) darted upstairs and into her room. A small sob escaped her mouth, and with a shaking hand, she slammed the door shut. Sliding down the oak panel, more and more cries emitted from her, and she gasped for breath.

“Come after me.” She screamed to no one. “Tell me you love me, not her.”

But he wouldn’t. Because he didn’t love (Y/N) (L/N). He loved Addison Brightson.
