It’s been the warmest day of the year here in Fife’s Lomond Hills, where we hit a sizzling 18.7C at 3:15pm. That makes it the warmest day since 30th September last year when it nudged 19C, a full 221 days ago if you can believe it! And I’m sure you can ;-)
It’s never plain sailing in Central Scotland though when the east wind blows in the summer months….as this photo from today in West Lothian illustrates. Trusty old haar from the North Sea kept us moody, misty, murky and a cool 10C until around lunch time, when the strong sun finally managed to burn all that low cloud off.
