what made you strong wasnât just raw ability, but the ability to read your opponentâs movements. when dabi saw the kid run the corner, his first thought was that heâd keep runningâ but it didnât make sense. his quirk was obviously relied on fortitude opposed to speed, running would just tire him out. at this point dabi assumed the kid would know at least that much about his quirk. there was a trick waiting for him around that corner. what was it? dabi wasnât sure, however he did slow his pace down to a stand still. he looked around briefly for an idea on what to do and to his luck⊠found a fire escape stairs.
by now the other might have thought dabi had given up⊠but a cat and mouse game doesnât end until one of the canât stand. he looked over the ledge. it was along drop but the impact wouldnât kill him. he took a step off the ledge and braced himself for impact, landing on the other side of the alleyway.
his heartbeat was something he needed to work on, being able to control and/or slow it as well as hear around it. as things were now, kirishima couldnât hear the sound of the otherâs footsteps over the sound of the blood pumping in his ears. it took away an asset he needed with the stunt he was trying to pull. a few deep breaths were taken so he could slow it down. by the time things had calmed down, the air around him was still and silent. for a moment, he thought the man had run away...
OF COURSE NOT. his heart leapt back into his ears when the man landed in front of him, his entire body solidifying. he wouldnât be able to run forever, but could this be considered a first move made?? even with his provisional license, he was only cleared to use force the moment he had to defend himself. if he threw the first punch, he could get into trouble. but he wanted this guy out cold so they could stop this game of cat and mouse. his hands curled tight into fists, the sound of his hardened skin scraping against itself as he tensed.
