     being the captain of his own ship. it's something henry has had to do from when he was incredibly young— back when his abilities were less an example of god and more a display of paranormal irregularity. in fact, the very moment he realised he had to be independent of doctor brenner was the moment his life truly begun. it was a huge undertaking for a child to bear, and yet he had managed all the same. persevered like always.

     henry chuckles lightly, unoffended by the notion of being forgotten. not only is it simply human nature for people to lose sight of those once close to them when the currents of life intervene, but the idea of being somebody that could be forgotten is immensely comforting to him after a lifetime of being forced under a microscope.

You are Henry, I'm convinced. Your understanding of this man has been astounding from the very start and he's only continued to grow. Very grateful to be able to read your beautiful writing for free honestly. That's what sticks out to me the most.

tiny psa about the future of this blog;

hi, friends. this is just a little post to say that, as of now, this blog's officially on low activity / hiatus. my henry muse is NOT dead, he's still fairly active on discord and wire, but honestly? i have much more of a desire to write over @painmon and am developing really exciting things for him! a big part of this decision is to do with the ST space itself. now that i've had some breathing room from this corner of the internet, it's stricken me just how much more at home i feel away from this place. there are some wonderful people here, and i have met some priceless friends through this space specifically— people i wouldn't have met if i didn't. however, this fandom in particular is incredibly reactive, hostile, performative and above all, cruel. this is the ONLY fandom in which i've met genuinely dangerous/abusive people, and i've had so many interpersonal problems simply because a lot of the people here are weird and can't separate fiction from reality, or take things way too seriously and/or personally. my dash being SO lovely and interactive over on peter has made me realise how unwelcome i've felt in this space for close to six months now. people are nice and, generally, enthusiastic about what i post over there. they also engage and make me feel like part of a community. this is NOT goodbye, and i want it to be clear that i'm going on hiatus on my own terms! i'll still hop on from time to time when i feel the muse strike me, just like i did a couple weeks ago! like i said, henry's not gone, and is still extremely important to me ( still his number 001 fan, sorry! ), i'm just growing even more as a writer and taking on different projects! i'm very excited about peter's growth and he's definitely expanding my talent as an author; he's challenging me, getting me back into the headspace of creating original works/fantasy systems again. peter has also been so good for helping me handle my clinical depression; he's reignited my passion for writing again, and has made me feel incredibly blessed to be able to share space with people. i'm back to feeling grateful, and above all? fucking good at what i do. i'm a very good writer. i know i am. and i also know that this fandom has made me feel for a while now as if i'm not. it's up to me to cut the toxicity out of my life and that's largely what i'm doing. that is why i'm making this decision. to my lovely friends from this corner of hell: don't think you can't bring up henry to me sometimes ( even if i have the petey brainrot something fierce right now! ). y'all are the ones who have been oh so supportive, real friends to me, and i wouldn't be half as brave in making this decision if not for you encouraging me to do what is best for me and my writing as opposed to other people and theirs. to the general fandom (and by this i'm not speaking of the rpc, i'm speaking of the st space as a whole): not missing ya, lol. keep being insane. this ain't my circus.

tl;dr: you can find me over @painmon if you enjoy my writing! peter DOES have a kickass ST verse too so there's definitely room for you there if you're worried about plucking your character from their canon. i hope to see some of you there, but if this is goodbye because you'd rather interact strictly with ST muses then i sincerely wish you all the best, and thank you for all the happy times!
