âI forget that supervillains have feelings too, I guess.â
âand that makes you a very bad superhero. weâre people. you can still hurt us.â
casslangâ:
âDoes it not affect you if things get royally fucked? Given the whole stone in your chest thing?â
âiâll book myself a one way ticket back to earth-616. itâs more stable there.â
hardycatâ:
âEasy for you to say when you have a reality stone in your chest.â
âa reality stone that turned me into a walking target. itâs not been all sunshine and rainbows.â
ladylckisâ:
âWhat is there to talk about? If youâre asking me how I ended up here, I donât know. Probably has to do with the mess S.H.I.E.L.D. created.â
âif itâs any help, it has nothing to do with me. iâm not in the business of dragging lokiâs around.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âIâm not pretending to know you, just saying.â Daisy shrugged as she raised an eyebrow at the blondeâs next words. âEmphasis on former. I didnât agree with what they did to you.â
âreally? because thatâs kind of how itâs coming across.â her eyes rolled. ânobody does, and yet, it took so long to stop it.â

Daisy could definitely feel herself leaning closer to Ripley, but she wasnât making an effort to pull away. The former agent was close enough to smell Ripleyâs perfume, and just before she could make out the scent she felt her center of balance nearly go out from under her and she managed to catch herself before falling down off of the stool. She listened intently to Ripley explaining the stone and smiled stupidly as she leaned her head onto her hand. âThatâs crazy..â She said quietly, genuinely fascinated by the fact that Ripley had an entire reality stone in the center of her chest. As Ripley filled her cup up, Daisy clenched her fist and muttered a small, slurred âyesâ before taking a sip and blinking at Ripley. âI can do seedy. I used to live in a van for awhile. And maybe I needed some peace tonight too.â
âyouâre looking for peace in a bar filled with petty criminals?â that earned a genuine laugh. âyouâre stranger than shit. i think that i like it.â it was amusing, at least. ripley needed a little humor after the pleasant hill fiasco and the repercussions. she and the stone felt the most in-tune they ever had; that didnât change the fact that it had been an incredibly invasive experience. ânot a van. even i used to have a bed. you know, youâd probably like who i used to be. she was way more palatable and she almost never said no.â she had been a weak pushover. thatâs what she had been. âmaybe tonight you can be seedy and iâll be less psychotic, or whatever S.H.I.E.L.D. labeled it as.â

Clint tried to come up with a response on the fly, but the automatic call out caught him off the spot as he took a deep breath and nodded at Star. It wasnât like he could lie, of all people she would know. âI think so. Itâs nothing I canât handle.â
âbecoming someone else? it doesnât look like youâll have a choice. do you even like kids?â
xmoonsilkâ:
Cindy frowned at Ripleyâs response, although it was hard to sympathize with the blonde. She really, really wanted to, but Ripley was not a nice person. And some of the stuff Cindy had heard definitely made her understand why everyone didnât like Ripley. But that didnât mean she deserved to be treated like a human experiment by S.H.I.E.L.D.. No one deserved that. âTell me about it. Iâm quite literally a different person than I was going into that place.â
âearth-616.â ripley paused to take in the energy that cindy was emitting. âbetter there than earth-65. sheâs awful, and itâs so terrible what you did to gwen. oops, sorry. she did to gwen.â
hardycatâ:
âI think S.H.I.E.L.D. has more on their plate right now than they can handle after that whole mess.â Felicia shrugged, figuring that they had a good few months of slipping under S.H.I.E.L.D.âs radar while they dealt with this PR nightmare. She rolled her eyes at the mention of her Pleasant Hill persona. âIt was. Itâs very nice to not be in there anymore. Still beats being comatose, though.â
âit just means theyâll cut corners and make it worse.â ripley pointed out. at the mention of being comatose, the blonde scoffed. âitâs a lose-lose here. comatose, walking around like an oblivious idiot. S.H.I.E.L.D. screwed us all. what are you doing about it?â
mahdthenaâ:
âThat look in your eyesâ I know what it means. I see it everywhere I go. You want to ask me something, yet you hesitate. Why? Are you afraid I might hurt you?â
âit means i have an infinity stone and you need to back the fuck up.â
blackniightâ:
âyou see, history is much more fascinating than youâd expect it to be.â
âplease, educate me. iâm dying to know here.â
casslangâ:
âDo you think everythingâs going to be okay after the fact? I talked to Cindy Moon and sheâs definitely not my age anymore.â
âoh, hell no. everything is royally fucked. good luck.â ripley paused. âseventeen going on thirty?â
bcrtonhawkâ:
âWhat the hell?â Clint deadpanned towards Ripley, shaking his head at her as he looked back at his arrows. âChange them back. Those things arenât cheap.â
âwhen i leave. i donât need you shooting at me.â ripley rolled her eyes. âyou looked a little multiverse strained, huh?â
destroyrofworldsâ:
âI think you woulda done that a long time ago if you wanted to, Ripley.â
âiâm fickle. iâm liable to change my mind. donât act like you know me, daisy johnson. iâm just the star test subject in your former organizations hell scape, remember?âÂ
medusaliithsâ:
âOur goal isnât to escalate. I simply do what I believe is best for the Inhumans. And if you donât agree with that you have that right, I suppose.â Medusa shrugged.
âiâm sure itâs not. your intentions are always better than the messes you make.â ripley shook her head. âitâs like clockwork.â
casslangâ:
âYouâre not making your case any better, you know. But youâre right, I guess that was a bad apology on my part.â
âat least weâre making some progress in acknowledging it. god, you all are so tiring.â
destroyrofworldsâ:
Daisyâs eyes widened at the sight of the glass refilling, and the bartender that came up to check on them seemed stunned into silence as he turned and opted to check on other patrons. The whole interaction was enough to get a full on snort out of Daisy as she giggled. âI think you just made that guy shit bricks.â She commented, leaning in closer when Ripley said she had a secret. She nearly fell out of her chair and quickly rebalanced herself as she listened. âIs the stone alive? Cause youâre talking about it like itâs alive.â She asked, genuinely wondering as she finished her drink and turned her head down to it. âThink you can do a gal a favor and refill mine too?â
âwell, i tend to have that effect on people.â ripley made a small gesture by her face. daisy leaned closer. ripley didnât back away. if anything, she moved closer, head tilting to the side with a knowing smirk. her lips parted into a biting laugh as daisy nearly fell and her normal position was resumed. âitâs energy. it moves, it courses. it doesnât have feelings, but i feel it.â it was hard to explain. ripley knew it was there. they were conjoined now even though she didnât know why. pointing at daisyâs cup, she uttered the command. âiâm not here to be an instant drink machine. i come to this bar for peace. why are you here? isnât it a bit seedy?âÂ
