Sooo I went on a date...I’m the worst sometimes; truly. As he’s making some cutesy anecdote about comics all I can think about is how much longer before I can get to my blunt and draw? I see that dating a non smoker is not for me. Also, he might have to be an artist. I’m apprehensive about that because I know how fucked up we can be as artists. I’ll roll the dice tho. It’s been a while since I’ve taken a good risk

Sooo I moved back to Miami in 2012 after a breakup. I was living in NorCal at the time. Moving back was the only thing I was looking forward to. When I finally got here I received sooo many validations letting me know I made the right decision. I had to get my mind right. Since a child I was always painting and drawing and creating my own world to escape the normalcy of society. It was when I lived in Cali that I really embraced it. Now, living in Miami I’ve become quite a recluse. I don’t want to shmooze. I feel like everything here is a fad that usually dissipates. I know we’re our own worst enemy...I destroy paintings I’ve spent too much time with. I will keep myself busy to avoid painting. Why? Because when I paint I’m usually forced to face the emotions I’ve been trying to avoid. Lately I’ve been having lucid dreams of paintings I must complete. It’s time. I’m excited it’s been a couple of months. I’ll post photos...

As an artist...

…it’s hard to find your voice. YOUR voice. Everyone wants to put a label on your art; fit you in a tightly wrapped box. Yes, the box is pretty, fancy even…not quiet what I had in mind. I feel things. Deeply. That’s why I am an artist. My art is my outlet so I don’t make…as stupid choices; as stupid. No, I don’t live off my art and that isn’t my goal at the moment. I want to make things that make me feel good. I don’t really care what you see, for me its served an immense purpose. I don’t think people realize that making art is emotional. Really emotional. It takes me forever to finish a piece depending on what inspired it. Some are inspired by love; most of them. One of the largest pieces I’ve done - I cried every day for 3 months as I painted it. LOL dramatic. It was about heartbreak. I just want to create. I don’t want to fill a quota or be a hashtag. ✌🏾️

Dating in Miami

I haven't even made it out the door to actually meet a guy because we will have pretty good conversation for about 2-3 days before he shows his ass and requests naked pics. Followed by the 😉😁😇. Um...no. I know we are few and far between but women with respect for themselves still exist. I hate the shocked looked and gasp I receive when I say something interesting, intelligent, or drink what's typically considered "a mans drink". It is 2016, and you've obviously failed to realize; or are in deep denial of, the fact that women run the world. We procreate. WE CREATE LIFE. That's all. In a nutshell. Without women there would be no future. Recognize and realize how strong women are and respect us and you might actually get somewhere.

Monsanto gets away with it, again!

I started this blog because I had so much to say and there is so much that is going on in this country that I am not OK with but I didn't know how to approach the topic but now it's way past the proverbial shit hitting the fan. We are flooding in shit. USDA approved use of genetically modified grass without testing. It will be lush, green, and healthy LOOKING -but it will be toxic if ingested. WTF?! It seems like everyone in the U.S. is not even paying attention! This "grass" will infect organic grass which means we won't have natural grass in the U.S. ever again. We are one step closer to killing our planet. For those of you assholes that continue to talk out of your ass and suggest that global warming is a THEORY -shut the fuck up. You're fucking idiots. We should be investing in treatments to better the word instead of killing it faster. Only solution I see at this point is moving country to country until I find one that doesn't want to die so badly.
